Only problem is it seems this a outdated model. Not sure what that means in the long run since XFX warranties are lifetime.

Wow, much less expensive than it is selling for at other places. 256MB version, but, it looks like a great deal.

The 256MB versions are pretty well neutered, worse than the 9600GT in many cases.

9600GT vs 8800GT 256MB

Spend the extra few dollars on the 9600GT especially if you run high resolutions at all.

actually the 880gs is faster and you can def get that for $100.00 after rebate.

and this superclocked versions kicks that 8800gt in the nuts for $112.00 after rebate.

GS is not faster. But since it has more memory it will do better in the high resolutions. The 512 verison of the GT blows away the GS in all benchmarks. If you play in high resolution the 8800GT 512 and 9600GT are both better cards. If you play in low res. then all cards are pretty good.

im currently running passive cooling cause i really hate noisy fans. i havent seen an 8800 card with passive cooling either.
