well I just got a delay till the 26th and it was scheduled for today. I am tired of fooling with dell so I am in the middle of canceling. They offered me a $20 discount once I got the card but by the time that might happen I will be able to buy any brand for $200. I prefer XFX over MSI anyway.

WTF? I've never heard of a reputable dealer pulling crap like that before. In any case, they'll either cancel the order, take a return, or I'll sell the thing for probably more than I paid.

Yes its possible. Look at the XFX page. They have like 5 8800GT models (WTF), where as BFG only has two models. One is 625mhz and the OC2 is 675 I believe. XFX have a couple that are in the 600mhz range. If you had the lowest/slowest XFX 8800GT model cards, then yes BFG could be faster.

XFX 8800GT 512MB Alpha Dog comes in four flavors; 600mhz, 625mhz (black), 640mhz (Extreme), 670mhz (XXX).

I wouldnt be too worried about that, the BFG 8800GT OC card's mild overclock specs can be done with virtually any 8800GT.

I have three different brand 8800GT cards here(including a bfg 8800gt oc) and
they all do 625/1566/900 clocks like the BFG 8800GT oc easily.(and all will clock higher easily too)

I must be the only guy who has too many 8800GT cards and wants to get rid of one.

I cant bellieve so many people are still trying to find one in stock.

Very suprised! I just got an e-mail from Buy.com saying that the card was shipped. I got it early this morning when I first heard about it in the 8800gt Availibility thread. This forum makes me spend way too much money!

I opted for the free shipping and when I clicked on the tracking (It is being sent FedEx ground), it says it is supposed to be here tomorrow! Too bad I am still waiting for other components to finish my build.

LOL I m not sure if i can believe that yours shipped yet, since my exerience with buy.com was never that they shipped the same day i ordered. But if yours shipped that would be nice, good thing i don't have the need for that card i m very satisfied with my HD 3870.
