Any thoughts on this MSI card? I currently have an EVGA 7900GTO 512MB card and was wondering, aside from DX10, what kind of improvement I should get.

Other specs include Intel Core2 Duo E6600, 2 GB RAM, Windows Vista Ultimate, 22" Viewsonic LCD.

I bit on the MSI. I LOVE XFX. Best on the market period.

But....I've had an MSI mx440 since 2001? Still going strong on my linux box. Can't really argue with that. Mine is supposed to ship on Dec 10th. If a new deal comes before then....I'll just cancel.

I have a very similar system and just ordered the Dell MSI card. The video card is definitely the bottleneck in my system for games; I've been holding off on getting Call of Duty 4 and Crysis until I could do them justice. According to all the reviews it should be a real nice boost in frame rates (and remember this card is overclocked as standard, so it should be even better than the reviews!).

I ordered the EVGA one from fry's for $229 and it pees on my old EVGA 7900GTO, plus single slot to boot. In my cramped case, the height of the GTO's heatsink was blocking my SB's fan. Now it's not bbeing blocked, and my temps are lower , case/cpu wise.

In crysis it enabled me to go to:
1280x1024 everything high, no AA @ 38fps
from
1024x768 everything high but physics and post processing. no AA. @ 31fps

Crysis is so much more dependant on the GPU rather than the CPU. Every other game I can run at my native resolution(1280) with everything maxxed in-game. COD4, GOW, Source games, UT3, BF2, NFS: Pro Street, etc etc.

Price is $309.99 + shipping + taxes.
