Crisis sucks heh. It was a decent game but, nothing special. Way over-hyped....GL tho. I played that game fine on my 7900GT. Pretty short game too.

After dell canceled my order on me, I decided to grab a EVGA 8800gt SC from clubit. The price was just under $300, but its better than waiting until the middle of January. They got it to me in just under a week, damn good video card i must say!

Nice. Got one. Any online coupons, or just in-store?

I believe the only one available is the 10%/12% in-store coupon that was mentioned in another thread here.

Looks like a few more Best Buys are starting to get stock of the Bfg 8800 GT OC 512. There is a "valued customer" 10% off printable coupon floating around here somewhere ( I forgot where I got it) that is good from 11/1 - 12/31 in-store only. Google search to find it.

I ordered the XFX 8800gt from dell on 11/24 for 253ish after tax and free ship. Like most people, my estimated shipping date was 12/10, but then I got an email that said it was delayed until 12/19. I decided to stuck it out to see if it would be shipped. I checked my order status again this morning and to my surprise, my order has been shipped since 12/14 and it's est. delivery date is now 12/19-12/21. Just curious, anyone else who didn't cancel got there order ship yet?

In Stock Soon: Usually Ships in 3 to 5 business days.
Good price compared to what others are charging, but I trust Buy.com even less than Dell. That 3-5 days could turn into 3-5 weeks.

Here's a 5% off coupon for anyone who wants to take a chance on this.
Coupon

Get another $5. off review rebate from Pricegrabber. I've received 4 of these $5. review rebates in the last 3 months.

I bit and ordered from buy.com even though I haven't canceled my Dell order yet. If the buy.com card ships before Christmas I will cancel my Dell order otherwise it's a toss up. I had to get the card shipped to my gf's parents house in CT to save getting taxed in MA.

Mines apparently shipped. Worst timing too, as the eVGA I ordered should be coming today, and im not planning on SLI.

I ordered the MSI 8800 GT from dell on 11/24 with a ship date of 12/10. On 12/10 they revised to today 12/17. Just got an email that it will be delayed again until 12/26 and will be canceled if I don't log in and let them know I'm willing to wait.

I'm going to wait - don't know if it will ever really come. I was going to build a 6600 but decided to wait on Penryn so I'm not in a big hurry.

What are the chances Nvidia or ATI come out with a faster card for around the same money by February?

Don't say I didn't warn ya. Buy.com is by far the worst etailer for canceling orders. Even when they say an order has been canceled it shows up a few weeks later with a credit card charge.
I got the same email from Dell, shipping delayed to 12-26. I'm hanging in there unless a good price for an in-stock 8800GT comes along.

Pretty good prices for CA residents since we don't need to pay Tax. YAY!

That vanilla evga 8800GT looks tempting at $249.99.

Yeah thats probably the best deal out right now for availble 8800GT's.

$250 with no tax for CA aint bad.

I just bought a bfg 8800gt for $235 shipped but if I hadnt, that evga would be my next choice. There is THIS GALAXY for $235AR/Shipping but...I dunno about that one. Id still rather pay the $15 extra for the EVGA i think.

Anyone know some places that carry the XFX PVT88PYDQ4 (625MHz model w/ black PCB) ? Tried to order it from the egg this weekend, but when I put my zip code in and pressed the "GO" button to get the shipping prices, the cart suddenly said that it was removed due to not having sufficient stock.

Frys has them. click here

EDIT: Nevermind, that link is to an Extreme edition, even though they picture the 625mhz/black. I know many B&M Frys stores have the PVT88PYDQ4 though.

NCIXUS may have them soon. here

Yes, and they shipped very quickly (took them all of two hours to go from submitting the order to having it picked up by UPS). Shipping is a little higher than you might pay with newegg, but again for us CA residents not having to pay tax makes a HUGE difference.

I know it sucks cause most stores that ever have good deals are in California lol. That is why I liked monarchcomputer.com when they were around cause I didnt get hit with tax.

Check this out: http://www.hardocp.com/news.ht...xoZW50aHVzaWFzdCwsLDE=

Edit: BFG is offering $100 off its 8800GTS 512MB card (G92) for anyone who got screwed on Dell's false promise of the $200 MSI 8800GT. Follow the link for details and the coupon code.

Nice of BFG to do that, but how would they honestly know "who got screwed?" What do you bet half those 500 cards end up on ebay for $400 by third party asshats anyway?

From Hardop's BFG 8800GTS 512MB review:
"The NVIDIA suggested price ranges between $299-$349 for the new 65nm GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB. However, we recently witnessed well above expected prices on the new GeForce 8800 GT 512MB with limited availabilities. It seems that those issues could possibly plague this new video card as well, in fact we expect it to. The BFGTech GeForce 8800 GTS OC 512MB video card that we evaluated today carries an MSRP of $399; BFGTech is definitely rolling the high numbers on this one. This is something we will all need to keep a close eye on."

So they jack the MSRP up $100. and then give you $100. off. Thanks, BFG.

But then again when was the last time, if any, the 8800GT was selling for MSRP.

Now I remember it was the MSI from Dell I ordered back in November, and will probably never receive.
