Only $49 more than FuryX was released. And as we know FuryX "offered much better perf/$" than 980ti at same price.
Welps, Lady Luck was not on my side. Seems they sold out before the doors even opened (probably did the voucher thing they did with GTX 1080 launch.)
Welps, got my 960 Evo, still give rig a good cleaning and prep it while I wait for restock.
90% of GPU releases are just price cuts if you look at it like that.
Who said anything about price performance now? Compare it to when the 1080 was the best card in the world.
My index finger is bleeding. They need to make soft versions of that F5 key. Also, all these cards are expected to clock the same, right? Basically Pascal is Pascal in terms of OCability, right? So a reference card with a waterblock should do as well as any of them, +/- 5% or so, yeah?
They are all the same. Since you are looking to watercool yours the reference or founders is the best option as we barely break 45c under load.My index finger is bleeding. Reviews I browsed saw it hit thermal points. I don't think I came across a CLC-Hybrid review ala Nexus has done with GTX 1080 and Titan Xp. However, I expect the 1080 Ti to hit the same ceiling that Nexus hit with a CLC-Titan Xp.
I waited for custom 1080's and they did absolutely nothing better then a well cooled Reference model. So I'm not waiting this time and getting first card I can get my hands on.

I was lucky and got one from nvidia with the morning shipping, probably wont it it until next week. Just as well, need a little time to build the rest of my new machine.I had to fight the slow traffic on the site, but I managed to get an order confirmation for tomorrow delivery. I emailed them to confirm its actually going to ship. These things are selling like absolute crazy. BestBuy, EVGA websites are so slow they literally malfunctioned. I had to order through EVGA twice because the first one simply crashed and dropped out. I hope I get it.

Nice. You might get your card before I do even though I managed to get in on the pre-order on the 2nd *sigh*. My block and new mayhems is just going to keep smiling at me for a while.
Has Pascal changed from Kepler and Maxwell in that regard? Have there been any announcements about the power circuitry options for the aftermarket 1080Tis?
I ask because the beefy aftermarket 780's overclocked better than their reference counterparts. The 780 Lightning I had was a beast when it came to not only overclocking potential but also the power circuitry.
In reference to moonbogg's question about being within +/- 5%, I think you're correct but my experience in the past has been better overclocking in general with upgraded power circuitry.
Honestly I don't expect to get the card. I think the system told me the order went through, but there's just no way really. The entire planet was trying to buy it at the same time. I doubt the system was able to keep up. I'm expecting a nasty backorder.
Ebay already has them up for $1000.
Did the 1080 have this kind of demand? Seems crazy. Im seeing Tis sell for 900+ on eBay. Could make a cool 200-300 if I put up my preorder
