Welps, Lady Luck was not on my side. Seems they sold out before the doors even opened (probably did the voucher thing they did with GTX 1080 launch.)

Welps, got my 960 Evo, still give rig a good cleaning and prep it while I wait for restock.

Dang. I'm going to check my microcenter at lunch and see if they have any. My pre-order status still shows "In Processing" and has been that way the past 4 or 5 days, while some folks in Europe are getting theirs shipped

90% of GPU releases are just price cuts if you look at it like that.

No most GPU releases have new features. This offers nothing but a price cut and slight reduction on a 7 month old GPU.

Who said anything about price performance now? Compare it to when the 1080 was the best card in the world.

1080 still had better price/perf

My index finger is bleeding. They need to make soft versions of that F5 key. Also, all these cards are expected to clock the same, right? Basically Pascal is Pascal in terms of OCability, right? So a reference card with a waterblock should do as well as any of them, +/- 5% or so, yeah?

Reviews I browsed saw it hit thermal points. I don't think I came across a CLC-Hybrid review ala Nexus has done with GTX 1080 and Titan Xp. However, I expect the 1080 Ti to hit the same ceiling that Nexus hit with a CLC-Titan Xp.

I waited for custom 1080's and they did absolutely nothing better then a well cooled Reference model. So I'm not waiting this time and getting first card I can get my hands on.

They are all the same. Since you are looking to watercool yours the reference or founders is the best option as we barely break 45c under load.

Yeah I think they all have the same potential. It seems to come down to cooling to avoid throttling. I got a waterblock sitting here and will grab a reference card right away. Can you help me out with something? If you could just stop hitting F5 until about 10:01am I would greatly appreciate it. Tell your friends, too.
Also, I wonder if Newegg will have the reference cards available today. I could will call that sucker and save myself $50 in shipping costs. I need to go there for a ram exchange anyway. That would be sweet. I love not paying for shipping. I also love not paying for anything if possible.

I feel like a teenage girl waiting in line at a Beiber concert. 3 minutes left AAAHH!

Has Pascal changed from Kepler and Maxwell in that regard? Have there been any announcements about the power circuitry options for the aftermarket 1080Tis?

I ask because the beefy aftermarket 780's overclocked better than their reference counterparts. The 780 Lightning I had was a beast when it came to not only overclocking potential but also the power circuitry.

In reference to moonbogg's question about being within +/- 5%, I think you're correct but my experience in the past has been better overclocking in general with upgraded power circuitry.

I had to fight the slow traffic on the site, but I managed to get an order confirmation for tomorrow delivery. I emailed them to confirm its actually going to ship. These things are selling like absolute crazy. BestBuy, EVGA websites are so slow they literally malfunctioned. I had to order through EVGA twice because the first one simply crashed and dropped out. I hope I get it.

Nice. You might get your card before I do even though I managed to get in on the pre-order on the 2nd *sigh*. My block and new mayhems is just going to keep smiling at me for a while.

Honestly I don't expect to get the card. I think the system told me the order went through, but there's just no way really. The entire planet was trying to buy it at the same time. I doubt the system was able to keep up. I'm expecting a nasty backorder.

Ebay already has them up for $1000.

I can't speak with certainty on this but I currently have a 1080 FE and an EVGA 1080 SC that was clocked much higher out of the box. My FE card has a far higher max OC even though both don't even touch 50C under 100% load. Therefore, I will continue to get reference boards especially since they are compatible with waterblocks.

Did the 1080 have this kind of demand? Seems crazy. Im seeing Tis sell for 900+ on eBay. Could make a cool 200-300 if I put up my preorder

People are calling EVGA and placing orders since EVGA knows the website is down. You can probably call to confirm your order.

OK, well I talked to EVGA, they said it was confirmed. I wasn't happy with that so I checked with my bank, the payment was approved but not processed yet. EVGA told me I should be good to go, but I am skeptical. I am so obsessive its crazy. Damn I need like GPU's anonymous or something.

I picked the right person to marry. She called me at work and told me NV next wave of pre-orders be going up. I was able to secure one with next day shipping

Now to see when I actually get it haha. Awwwww yissssss! And I still made it to the company pizza party. To quote the famous Ice Cube. "Today was a good day."

I think it was worse. I was able to sell my Microcenter voucher for close to $900. When the 1080 launched I worked morning shifts so I drove by my local MC on route to the parking garage, saw a few people, and figured I see what was happening. I managed to get there just in time to be the last guy in line as a store rep gave us vouchers to pick up the card at 10AM. I knew I wasn't going to be able to make it until well after 7PM so I sold my voucher to one of the guys who was there asking to buy it. Course then they went on Ebay for well over $1,000 haha. I wanted a hybrid anyways going on the hype that AIBs will OC much better. It didn't, and I learned my lesson so just getting ref and slapping my own CLC on it.
