Is that a 1440p monitor? I was looking at the 4k version which is $1200 or something like that. Almost got one but then I figured it costs more than my Sony 4k TV.
Yes it's ultrawide 1440p (3440x1440). You can get it for $1020 on Amazon now or cheaper if you have a microcenter around you. Combined with an IPS panel, Gsync, 100hz and ultrawide it's a damn good experience.

So you don't have a 4K Gsync monitor then?

It sounds tempting seeing how I have a microcenter 15 min from me. Do you know how long the sale is?

I would have to make sure I can sell this monitor first.

Edit: I see that it's $1299 on microcenter.
That's the 4k gsync model. 34 inch curved. Looks nice.

No. It's just a regular 4k/60 IPS monitor. Great for video viewing and coding, not so great in games due to screen tearing.

The one you linked is the one I got. Not sure how long it lasts but I got mine for 950 before taxes in store.

Yea I didn't see it at my microcenter they only have the $1299 model. The only 4k 144hz model is the new x27 which I don't know if it's out yet.

Yeah I wouldn't pick that 4k/60 one even though it has gsync. I think Acer has discontinued it as well due to the upcoming 144hz model. I highly recommend the x34 ultrawide even at Amazon's listed price. Once you go ultrawide, standard monitors feel inadequate

I'm going to wait and see how much the x27 goes for. I like the 27" and it's what I'm currently used to space wise on my desk although the 34 would fit, it may block my speakers out of view.

Mine has blocked my speakers as well. I may need to get one of those swivel arm mounts so that I can better position it.

It looks great but I only want one monitor so it wouldn't look like it would block them out so much. I hid all the cables inside my desk so I wouldn't want to do a dual setup due to wiring issues.

I have an Ikea Alex desk so all the wires go in the little compartment that opens up on the end.

UH, 4k 144hz isn't discontinued? There is an article it:

Acer Predator X27 with Ultra HD, 144Hz, G-sync and HDR
April 30th 2017

Following on from the eagerly anticipated Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ, Acer have now released details of their equivalent screen - the Predator X27. The Predator X27 is an NVIDIA G-SYNC HDR monitor and features 'Acer HDR Ultra technology' according to the press release. There is also integrated Tobii eye-tracking technology help gamers aim, shoot, and explore more intuitively. Pairing eye tracking with mouse and keyboard or gamepad controls offers a richer, more immersive gaming experience as gamers are able to mimic actions that occur in real life, such as ducking for cover or aiming at a target. To date, there are 100 games that support eye tracking. The continuously updated library can be viewed at www.tobii.com/apps

Getting in to the detail now, the X27 uses an AU Optronics IPS-type panel, offering a 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD resolution, along with a 144Hz native refresh rate and 4ms G2G response time spec. It is paired with NVIDIA G-sync to offer variable refresh rate support, and also allows for the use of the integrated Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB) feature as well. The screen uses Quantum Dot technology to offer a wide colour gamut supporting 99% Adobe RGB and its top-endHDR support is achieved with the help of a 384-zone local dimming zone backlight system for optimal performance. With a 1000 cd/m2 peak brightness it can offer a luminance range several times greater than that of traditional dynamic range monitors. By dimming the backlight behind parts of the screen displaying black, blacks appear deeper and darker on those parts of the panel, a significant bonus for people who play games with darker scenes.

The chiselled diamond cut, all-metal stand is very robust to provide stability and ergonomic with adjustable tilt, swivel and height. The new displays provide wide viewing angles up to 178-degrees horizontally and vertically. Furthering comfort, Acer VisionCare with Flickerless, BluelightShield, ComfyView and low dimming technologies which may help reduce eye fatigue during long gaming periods. Predator GameView lets gamers make precise color adjustments, set up aim points for hip-fire accuracy and adjust dark boost levels for more clearly spotting enemies. Custom settings can be saved in three different profiles including action, racing and sports, for switching between scenarios at any time during gameplay.

You will need a high end graphics card to power this screen, with an NVIDIA 10 series with DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity required. That alone still isn't enough bandwidth for 144Hz Ultra HD and HDR, though, with the X27 using 4:2:2 chroma sub-sampling to compress the image down when using the full 144Hz refresh rate. The X27 also features a HDMI 2.0 port, but that's limited to 60Hz. It looks from the press pics that the screen will also come with a removable hood perhaps.

No word on price or release date yet, but we know that the AUO panel goes in to production in July, so expect it sometime in Q3.

My Asus Strix OC model came in. Up and running without any issues this time. Its very quiet and it barely goes above 67C while benching. This was when I tried both Game mode and OC mode. On Game mode the clock stays at 1999 according to Heaven and in Game mode it goes up to 2057. So far no coil whine on mine, I can barely hear the fans. I haven't bothered with overclocking it manually yet.

Here are my bench results:

Game Mode:

OC Mode

Fire Strike Game mode:

FireStrike OC Mode

Edit: So far I can get +50 on gpu clock and memory clock.

Bf 1 I get around 70-100fps depending on the map. If it's a big one with lots of action it's usually around 70-80 maybe 90+ at some points. This is with 1440p @ 144hz everything ultra.

On smaller maps I get over 100fps and it bounced between 80, 90, then 100 and over.

Funny, gaming on an ultrawide is impressive in the beginning, But after a minutes (like 30) you don't even notice the extra real estate you're given... But at a glance or from away, it looks impressive as hell!

My dual NEC 20 16:10 monitors, for some reason, looked better than my LG curved ultra wide... Just really wanting ghost recon wildlands to hit the magical 60 fps! But even with the EVGA 1080ti SC, it probably won't happen...

I need to mess around with my card more before deciding to use the game code for wildlands.

I feel like the fps should be a bit better but I guess it really depends. On bf 1 my UI scale is set to 50%.

If you're talking 4k/60 in wildlands you can do it but I had to turn down a fair bit of settings including no AA. At 1440p ultrawide I can max every single setting including AA and get around ~55fps in that benchmark. Wildlands is a really demanding game

ACER Predator X34 owner chiming in. Solid buy, Ultrawide is my new standard for monitors. I wouldn't go back to 16:9 unless I was forced to.

Same here, I love the x34. Going to 21:9 from 16:9 is analogous to going 16:9 from 4:3 when I got my first LCD panel.

Maybe the reason my fps seems lower on bf1 compared to last time is because the scale factor is set to 50%

Type render.drawscreeninfo 1 to see your actual computed resolution. Apparently 42% scale gives you the native monitor resolution. Going to try that tonite and see what happens.

I thought that was only beta issue
Me too but after searching around, it's actually 50% that is correct for UI scaling and for resolution scaling it's 100%.

But I noticed geforce experience optimizes the game at ultra with a resolution scale of 175! But in the game I don't see it set to that so I'm confused.

Either way there might be something that could cause lower fps. I'm betting it on the optimization settings.

Edit: After playing more battlefield today I can't seem to get the same fps as I see other users getting from research or from what benches say.

I still get about 60-80 fps avg on bf 1 at 1440p ultra settings. It should be more as my 1070 did better it seems. I notice bf 1 using a lot of my CPU too at times.

Messed around with the settings from Nvidia, disabled sharing and Xbox app dvr. Very confused.
