Geforce2 Cards MX200 or MX400?

I'm building two systems, one for each of my sons. I'm looking around
for AGP video cards and I'm wondering if there is much of a difference
between the MX200 and MX400 cards. I'm looking at 64MB AGP versions.
The prices I'm finding are ranging between $55 and $80, (mostly at
TigerDirect.com).

Needless to say, I'm completely confused, I guess I haven't kept up on
things and I can't afford the latest greatest at this time. (it's the economy,
stooooopid Heheh)

I'm just hoping to have something decent with HalfLife, Quake
Arena, UT and such.

yes there r differences in mx200 and mx400...if u want a gaming card and want it to be less than $80...ur in luck my friend...go to newegg and go to video cards...look for visiontek gts-v...its a gts based core with 32mb mem and its only $65...difference between 32mb and 64mb is not very significant...and the games u wanna play...it'll be fine...

Yes, get the GTS-V. Much better than any MX for a similar price.

I did some looking at this card, on the web. I must say, I'm so happy
that I found this forum! LOL Thanks guys, I ordered two of 'em this
morning. I can't wait to see the kids eyes light up when they have
their finished systems with these in them.

On my system, I have a Creative Labs GB0010 which is a Geforce2
GTS card with 32MB. I payed somewhere close to $300 bucks for that
darned thing!! (BTW, after reading up on the VisionTek card, I followed
some advice and downloaded the latest NVidia drivers, even my card
looks better! ... I may have to keep reading up on this stuff and take the
leap into overclocking *snicker*)

Yep, you just got your $300 card for $70! You have to overclock the card using coolbits or nVmax to bring the speed up to 200/333 from the 175/286 defaults. Once you do that, it is a full GTS card. The VisionTek cards also have much better 2D quality than the Creative cards.

That card has got to be the video card best buy. For value, far better than the Ati LE Radeon (once hacked for Hyper-z) for value and performance.

Kinda makes you wonder why Visiontek is the only vender able to offer this. They must have really kissed Nvidia somewhere and done it good.
