I had a Radeon 7500 and the picture quality was great fast in games had 2 monitors hooked up it. Would of liked to have tried the DVI and video out. The drivers were pretty good. worked great with XP.
Now I have a Gainward Geforce2 Ti 500XP(I'm working on trying as many video cards as I can) faster than the 7500.
it has VIVO am having fun with the video in.
I think that the 7500 has a better picture.
It all comes down to what features you want??
I like both, but I think my next card will be the Radeon 8500
The Radeon 7500 beats on the GF2 Ti by a considerable margin in Anand's latest review with the future Unreal engine. And it's supposed to O/C well. So I'd go with a 7500.
I bought my Visiontek Xtasy Geforce3 ti 200 at a computer show a couple weeks ago for only 149. I've never seen that card aywhere that cheap~ but now as the prices come down you can find them for 140-150
I'd be willing to spend 150 but nothing over that.,....... well maybe if i got rid of this 1993 DELL 17' monitor ...heh
I've said this in other threads but I'll say it again, the Radeon 7500 (Retail) is an OC'ing beast. I've brought mine from 290 core / 230 mem (460 effective) stock to 330 core / 300 mem (600 effective) with only stock cooling and no mods. It completes 3dmark2001 loops without crashing or artifacts. DVD and 2-D quality are top notch as well.
I guess you know where my vote goes. You can get the official ATI Retail for $200 CDN at compusmart.com
I'd definitely get the Radeon 7500. It's usually faster than the Ti in most cases (in some cases significantly) plus it has guaranteed good 2D image quality and edges out the nVidia card in terms of DVD quality.
I don't really have any opinions about the two because I am in the market myself and was curious as to which one I should buy. Newegg has "ATI Radeon 7500 64MB DDR AGP OEM" for 96 + shipping. Is that a good price? It has DVI. Is it worth the extra 50 bucks for the gf3 ti200?
