Nope is correct. Definitely not.

Anand recently did a review of them, and trust me, the outcome was the complete opposite of what you're suggesting.

The GF2 Titanium is somewhat close to the GF2 ultra's performance, but the GF3 TI 200 is quite a different story

Ultra will beat the ti 200 in 16 bit color at say 1024*768 sometimes but the ti 200 will kick the ultras @ss as soon as you turn on 32bit. The Geforce 3 ti 200 take less of a hit in the 32 bit area.

Pretty cool to see a 175 MHz chip topple over a 250 MHz chip. It proves again that specs doesn't mean anything much nowadays compare to efficiency.

yeah, the ti200 is much faster in most things (like high rez 32 bit, and FSAA) and with the ti-200 prices being so low, there is no point in buying a geforce2 ultra anymore, unless you are getting a great deal. the geforce2 ultra is still a really great card, but there is no point in buying one new.
