Customer Cancelled, could be interpreted as the company cancelled you rather you cancelling the order

It doesn't matter whether or not you cancelled the order. The company can revoke its offer at will because you did not put up any money. Yes, you authorized them to charge the card but they are not obligated to provide you squat unless they actually take money from you. And no, authorizing a charge is not a valid excuse to start a flame thread or a lawsuit!
