This is actually a problem a lot of transgenders face. They are unable to get an ID accurately representing the gender they identify with, even if only in picture form. As a result, they are denied a lot of access to things that require photo ID; their photo isn't allowed to match their every day appearance.

For instance, should they be allowed to require me to shave my beard on the grounds that if I ever did shave my beard their facial recognition software wouldn't work? (I subscribe to the Abraham Lincoln theory that the more of my face is covered, the better I look.)
You're right, I judge anyone who wears blackface in public. IE, no one. I've shaved my beard twice since 1979 - 1980, both times for surgery. Think of the time I've saved!That's a good working theory that I've modified somewhat; on our tenth wedding anniversary I started growing a beard, my wife remarked two weeks later that she loved me more with a beard. Haven't shaved above my jaws in eight years.
My wife loves me more and I have less of my face to view in the mirror; win-win.

Thanks for the info. I was assuming by transition you meant more or less permanent measures, from hormone therapy up to surgery.
