General Overview of Overclocking...

...is basically what I need. How do I overclock? What are the risks, and how do I avoid them? How risky is this? If I overclock, can I undo it, in other words change it back to its original speed? I have a PII-450. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

Overview:
Up the FSB and as far as you can while maintaining stability. Up the voltage to help this along while keeping temperatures within a reasonable range.

Yes, it can be reversed, assuming you do not proceed too quickly and destroy your hardware.

not sure if PII can be overclocked easily. have to depend on your mobo as well. overclocking using jumper settings would of course be more troublesome. yup. if your computer don't post at the new speed you can get into the bios or change the jumper settings back. risks? not much i guess. monitor your cpu temperature. usually your system would crash or lockup before bad things can really happen to your cpu.
