You going to skip the mountain biking outing that day?
Luckily, one of us should be home at some point all day.
Seriously, I've seen pics of the box it comes in and it might give my Obsidian 900D something to be a bit unsettled about.
I used to have one of those cases, and I eventually (figuratively) dropped it. I got a bit irritated when I opened it to find that my drive rails were rusted and a bottom flap doesn't close correctly. Corsair just has really shoddy workmanship, and for $330, that's just not acceptable.
So I think Im leaning towards the vive. The pass through camera and wands are gonna be cool i think. I wonder if you can sit and not walk around though. I dont think I want to stand around all of my gear with that thing.

Just going to say, I would think before dropping $800 on something you would do some research to find that out
I hope the motion compensation is better when you're actually using it. Watched some youtube let's-play footage of Job Simulator and gave me nasty motion sickness! Worst I've ever had in a game!
I don't think 'room scale experience' can take off as long as it's tethered. It's cool for showing it to your friends so they go 'cool!' for a few minutes, if that's what you want, but I see it as 3D TVs. That's why I prefer the Rift, saves me over $200 for what I think is what matters, the seated experience.
Thats why Im asking
You guys see these?

Thats gonna give you the feels of low bass with headphones on. Pretty cool.

What is SimXperience SimVibe
SimXperience SimVibe is an advanced, multi-dimensional audio based feedback software (for racing simulators and cockpits) that utilizes one to eight bass transducers (ButtKickers, Bass Shakers, etc..) to provide the correct physics based vibrations at each corner of your simulator and throughout the simulator. This greatly enhances immersion and drivability. It's a great companion to our already immersive motion simulators but can be applied to motionless simulators as well.
You'll feel every available detail of the road surface, engine and transmission in the correct placement on your simulator!
How Does It Work
Simply connect one or more ButtKickers / Bass Shakers to your simulator as you normally would and install the Sim Commander Lite (SimVibe) on your Windows 7 PC. Our software does the rest and provides you with true physics based detail throughout your cockpit and complete control of your vibratory feedback experience.
Their parents told them to go outside and play! so they fired up their VR and loaded up "Woodland Sim"
Bunch of reddit stuff on oculus/subpac & one on the vive as well:

That led me to SimVibe:

Dang! It will be awesome once motion simulators become more prevalent too. And Leap now has an official developer mount for both the Oculus & Vive:
