I explained to him that most great discoveries where discovered by accidents
Ironic that he made his accidental discovery in a appliance that was discovered by accident. The genius that was working with microwaves(not the appliance, but the wave...you know what I mean) noticed that the candy bar in his pocket melted. Just another idiot that became famous by accident. We learned about lot of famous idiots in Chemistry class.

anyone ever try putting a light bulb in a microwave? Its supposed to be pretty cool. My chem 109 prof said to try it &quot;but not in your parents' microwaves, they won't be to happy if you fry it for them&quot; But I guess the bulb is supposed to light up, not just spark like shiny metal things do. hmm I wonder if that works with flourescent bulbs too...

well, I hope no one hurts themself or breaks anything, we already know that microwave+gameboy=bad

Slacker, the radiation in a microwave oven is non-ionizing so the radiation poisoning would have had to come from Karen Silkwood.
