Good site.
I found that most geocaches in my area were robbed.

That sucks. Most of the caches around here are intact. Seriously, sometimes people just amaze me: why steal a tin can full of random crap which has absolutely no value to you? Stupid fucks.

Yep.
I've been caching for about 2 years now! It helps to get me out of the house and get some excercise. I take my 8 y.o. son with me and he really enjoys finding the "treasure". I like it better than "just talking a walk" or hiking as there is an objective to be met and a clear destination. Plus, it coincides well with my other passion, camping with our popup camper (there are caches nearby everywhere we camp).

I've never tried it but it looks like it would be fun to do with the kids.

probably like many of the asshats here, they just get a kick out of being an asshat.
Around here they'd get looted, but usually they were active so someone else or the original owner would replenish. The log book is the kicker though...

It sounds interesting and cool. Except for the asshats that steal crap. I'll look at that geocaching site.
What do people usually put in the caches?

Really random stuff, little toys often. There are geocaching coins that you are supposed to put in other caches that you log online and can see where its been, kinda cool. There are some FTF's, which means the first person to find the cache gets some $.
