After hearing some more info come out about this, and seeing it get more complicated... I am not sure exactly what to think.
Nobody was injured... yet he's charged with battery. They don't know he pointed a gun at her, they only have her word on that.
I think one thing is absolutely clear even through the haze of "he said, she said" - Zimmerman is an immature guy with poor control of his own emotions. He's deeply flawed. He's not emotionally stable. In light of all this, it's only logical to assume that the women he's ending up with are not exactly the pinnacle of humanity either. People like this tend to end up with other people like this. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if every woman he's dated has been a basket case, emotional mess, borderline personality and a drama-addicted trashy person. Supposedly, she told the sheriff she's not actually pregnant? But GZ appears to have thought she was and said so in his 911 call...
Because of these considerations, it's hard to know how much her word can be trusted... keep in mind, because of who GZ is any woman who is with him instantly has this amazing trump card they can play. We get into an argument and you displease me? I can call the cops and you'll be all over the national news. I can have news helicopters above us in 5 minutes.
That sort of power over another person is hard to resist, especially as months tick by and the person knows they have that trump card... and if they aren't a moral and honest person, they may eventually play it. They may even play it at the first bumps in the road of the relationship.
If this woman had been lying to him about being pregnant with his baby... and that looks to be the case... that's huge. That's a huge indication of a willingness on her part to be hurtful and destructive to him and his life, and a huge indication of her willingness to lie to get her way. That says a lot.
Frankly, I think it's very possible that GZ was just getting his alibi out there in the 911 call as others have said, however... one thing that makes me think maybe he's telling the truth, is that in the background of her call you can hear him calmly saying "calm down, calm down"
Anyone who is naive enough to not realize that there are women out there (and men of course) who would be lying to the 911 dispatch about what was going on, at the very moment something else (or nothing) is ACTUALLY going on, needs to realize that such people do exist. They really do. And a woman who has you thinking she's pregnant with your child when she's not, is a good candidate for such things.
I saw this man break an iPad in a fit of anger, so I know he's a hotheaded idiot of some degree or another. I have no fucking clue whether he pointed a shotgun at her... or who broke the table... or who the crazier one is...
I think they're both likely trashy idiots, and if he gets out of this he needs to have the good sense not to get involved with any women for a while. He seriously needs to spend some time re-calibrating his mind, meditating, and somewhere FAR away from Florida.
