His credibility just went up in flames like a Scud Missile Launcher hit by Coalition Ordinance! Oh well, it looks like it's back to Kabul for Geraldo!

i was watching that when he was doing that and thought it was wrong, none of the other reporters were being that detailed in their positions

he screwed up and the guy talking to him should have caught it and the producers that were on during that segment should have caught it and broke away

they all screwed up

He never had much credibility to me.

I hear plans were for some military guys to escort him to the Kuwait border. I get this humorous image of him being carried between two huge soldiers until they reach some line in the desert where they toss him out like it was a nightclub.

Hey Geraldo just said he hasn't been kicked out and it was probably just rumors from msnbc . He's deeper inside of Iraq than he has ever been sice it has started.

Just saw him Live in Iraq and he said he didn't hear anything about being expelled. He blames the "rats" at MSNBC for starting rumours.

Edit: LOL, zipp

I suppose he'll be cracking the secret of Saddam Hussein's vault any time now.

I think he really should be expelled for drawing that map in the sand and describing in detail where they were. The idiot.

Well who knows? I'm sure that if the Military Commanders have a problem with him they are in tight negotiations will Foxs News over what to do about him.

I watched these broadcasts and he didnt give any details that would give away the position of the group he was with. A map in the sand is not nearly accurate enough for enemy to make any gain from it. Hell the Generals doing map drawings for the networks are giving away a hell of a lot more. I think the enemy is doing more duck and run right now than planning an offense.

I still think it's a bad idea to have all these media people "embedded" into military units. There is no upside to having them there.

BWA HA! I can see it now:

"And, here we area. Just outside the doors of Saddam's massive bunker system. Through these doors are where I believe we will find all of Saddam's WMD. Not just Anthrax and VX but stores of Ricin and possibly some plutonium, as well. I feel very confident that the world is about to witness an incredibly historic event."

<door creaking>

<Geraldo entering a dark, cavernous room>

<Geraldo points a flashlight at something in a corner...then...suddenly....the room lights up>

A big April Fool sign all lit up in neon and Geraldo staring blankly into a camera.

LOL

Geraldo Rivera said live on FOX this morning that he had not been expelled, and rival media outlets were spreading rumors.
I just seen him on FOX NEWS CHANNEL live broadcast from Iraq .

Especially the live reports. Does it really matter if i find out about an attack a few hours later then when it happens? Or a few days? Or even at all.

the part i thought was most questionable was when he said " we are headed to attack them in the Karbala Gap" , that was talking about future operations, which i thought was not allowed

Well it's important to start reporting as early as possible so they can get it wrong the most number of times before the truth is finally known.

he didnt get booted-its a false rumor

um, it is now being reported by Reuters and other news wires
linky

"He was with a (U.S.) military unit in the field and the commander felt that he had compromised operational information by reporting the position and movements of troops," Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman told Reuters.

here is another story

"I can confirm that it has been done," said military spokesman Navy Lieutenant Commander Charles Owens on Monday, contacted at Central Command headquarters in Qatar.

Owens said Rivera, a star of the Fox News television network, was not embedded with troops, but had been "asked to leave the unit he was with."

Maybe they will let him back in to host the opening of Saddam Capone's vault.

FoBoT, I just saw Geraldo on Fox, live, & he said it was a rumor. He was with troops in the field near Baghdad-he was with several troops & joked about how all they needed was some beer & the troops cheered behind him
