German tourist gets six years hard labour for oral sex

10/25/2001 10:49:19 Lusaka (dpa) - A German tourist has been sentenced by a Zambian magistrates court to six years imprisonment with hard labour for having sex ``against the order of nature'' with a 22-year old Zambian woman, news reports said Thursday.

Wolfgang Seifarth pleaded guilty to having oral sex with Pumulo Mbangweta of Mazabuka, a small commercial farming town in southern Zambia, the independent Post newspaper reported.

Seifarth told the magistrate that as a foreigner he did not understand Zambian law, adding that such sex was legal in Germany. The magistrate said ignorance was no excuse to break the law.

To tell you the truth, I really don't have any pity for the guy. For reasons that I fail to comprehend, many people have an insanely sick desire to visit fascist/communist countries - and upon visiting them, to act as if they are back at home, that all their freedoms apply, and continue about their daily lives, without any regard for the fact that even looking at someone the wrong way could get their heads chopped off. If you do have to go to a country like Zambia or China or Saudi Arabia, it *is* proper to be scared sh|tless the entire time, it *is* proper to think twice before making the smallest gesture. These countries want an excuse to throw your ass in jail; don't give it to them. And if you are caught, for crying out loud - don't b|tch about it. You asked for it!

And if you're caught, remember the 5 finger rule... Keep a hundred bucks US cash on you at all times, works wonders in almost ANY situation...

If you don't know how much the bribe is supposed to be, just ASK... Hell, in Mexico they almost just post lists of bribes and amounts...

BTW, there are books in the bookstore that you can buy that list the various bribe amounts, bribe customs, and countries... In many parts of the world, it is considered very rude to NOT offer a bribe...

This past summer I was in South Africa for over three weeks and I can tell you while many parts were poverty stricken there were many upscale places. Their ATM's and payphones were much more advanced then ours... all ATM's had color screens, and on the pay phones you use a credit card like reader with your credit card or card you can buy from the telephone company. I remember going to the movie theaters to see many cultural films about SA and Africa in general and also Hollywood blockbusters, like A long Came a Spider and the seats were much nicer then ours here and you can select which seats you will be in when buying them, like a concert or a play. Bookstores there are great too. I?d love to move there or at least visit again.

as someone who used to live in africa, you can get away with anythin there if you have money..its all about the bribes.. i knew somebody who shot someone there but was simply deported cuz he bribed the police 1 million naira.. equiv to about 10000 dollars...life is cheap in africa eh
