Edit: It works. I bid on an auction this morning, and got the $10 within 2 hours
Just ran across this website, did a search on Anandtech and didn't see anything on it. Unwired Buyer (Link) is a free sniping service for eBay. If you sign up for it, and use it within 30 days to bid on an auction, they give you $10 in your PayPal account. The site looks to be on the up and up, and I found a review of it on lifehacker, so it seems legit. The service is free, because they are a member of eBay's affiliate program, and they get paid by eBay everytime someone uses the service to win an auction. You do have to give them your phone number, because the way this service works is to call you 3 minutes before your auction ends and let you bid over the phone if you want to snipe at the last minute. I'm about to try it now, and thought I'd pass it along.
Edit: I just finished signing up. You do have to enter your ebay login and password, which some people might not want to do. I felt nervous about this, but googled around and found enough stuff on Unwired Buyer that I feel safe doing it. Here are the terms, off of their website, for getting the $10:
1. To qualify for the $10 bonus, the user must subscribe to UnWired Buyer and use the service to bid on an auction using their phone within 30 days.
2. In addition, the user must have an eBay feedback score of 10 or more, or the user must have been a registered eBay user for over 12 months
3. The $10 signup bonus is limited to one (1)$10 payment per valid eBay account.
4. The $10 signup bonus is valid only to legal residents of the US and Canada.
5. UnwiredBuyer employees and their families are ineligible.
6. gNumber reserves the right to request additional information regarding the claim and the right to confirm conformance to eBay user regulations. Any misrepresentation or fraudulent information disqualifies the payment of the bonus.
