My opinion is that it's pretty average---I had one for about 6 months until it broke---I now have a Canon BJC-6000 and it's pretty good. But that is a pretty good deal on the BJC-2100.

i got this printer free with my dell i bought last year...it's not bad for very basic black & white printing...if you are printing in color the cartridges last about a half hour

the print quality isn't too bad...nowhere near laser quality but not bad for a ink jet...everything just looks at bit smudgy

i wanted to see if my web cam would work under win2k...so here's a pic of something i just printed & of the actual printer

IMHO there a better printers out there...but i got it for free so i'm not complaining

Regarding those "refilling kits", do they work very well--I mean, how do they compare to name-brand cartridges?

Very crappy printer. Flimsy. Slow.

A good deal for some, but Canon would have to PAY me at least $40 to take another one of their printers. Being stupidly loyal, I actually bought 3 different ones before I finally figured out there are other brands that are SO much better and just as cheap.
