Get Bad Feedback on Ebay? Sue Them to Have it Removed

They are hopeless.

My wife had a bad buying experience. She won an auction, paid right away. Seller shipped item very late, no communication - so my wife left them negative feedback saying so......Wow, they suddenly lept to life then......anyway she got a real nasty feedback in return, completely unwarranted, she did her part and paid immediately.

Anyway.....She asked Ebay to have it removed......hahahahahahah

And as for their fraud protection.......sheesh, don't get me started

im also waiting on an item that ive paid for that hasnt seemed to find its way to me.....i take it their fraud protection is a joke?

yeah, i believe it is.

i think it maxes out at $175 too.

On Ebay, you file a claim, they sit on it for three weeks, then they Email you saying nothing we can do - take it up with Paypal.

So I filed a claim on Paypal, they sit on it for three weeks, then they Email you saying - We agree you were defrauded, but the person has no funds in their Paypal account so there is nothing we can do.

You may have more luck going through Post Office if you paid by Money Order

of course this wont stop ebay and paypal from raising rates.

Well, Ebay has taken the position that they are only the middleman in the transaction, and therefore have no responsibility to remove feedback unless they fit into a very small category like using vulgar language, etc. I actually agree with them concerning this. Think about how many billions of feedback transactions take place. Once you upset the apple cart they would have to monitor all of those transactions? Do you want to pay 50% in fees for them to be able to staff and evaluate every feedback response? Ebay has been incredibly successful over the years, and one of the keys to their system is feedback, like it or not.
