I am looking into a new set of benefits for our company, and I've had the AFLAC people come by. Their coverage options look pretty good....almost unbelievable.
For instance, they have their Accident coverage, and supposedly you can get $ for almost anything including a bee sting, paper cut, yearly check-ups, etc. They also have the Cancer coverage, where you get $ for every night spent in the hospital, each cycle of chemo therapy, etc. They say it can all add up to $40-50K for cancer coverage.
Of course all of AFLAC's coverage is supposed to be supplemental, and that's how we will use it. But it's hard to believe that they can pay out so much for such little premiums (accident is ~$10 every other week). My boyfriend thinks it sounds like a pyramid scheme.
Your thoughts?
