Jeremy Joe is talking Common Law here. It is not just introduce, but rather present yourselves as husband/wife. You could buy a car together and either of you could later get the courts to show you are married! Or live together for 6 months. Scary stuff!

Luckily I live in Florida. Lived with a girl for more than five years. Was smart enough to never refer to her as my wife. Never bought anything together....................Broke up, she sued for palimony, cost me legal fees, but she got ZIP!
