Get rid of the star ratings.

They squash the titles of threads all up and make the forums hard to read.


The Star Ratings have been removed for all forums.

i don't even see the stars. ad-block for FF and content blocker in opera get rid of the stars. fixes all the problems.

the ratings are worthless because i'm pretty sure that 90% of the people rating aren't doing it seriously, at least in forums like OT or Love and Relationships.

I seem to recall way back in the day we were able to give ratings to users.
We stopped that because it was pointless.

People just act like jerks and the ratings mean nothing.

They do seem pretty useless. It looks like most people don't bother to vote so a few biased voters can really mess up the rating of a thread. A suggestion would be to make it easier to vote. Frankly clicking something to drop a menu and selecting something from that menu is not convenient enough for casual voting. Maybe just have a line of stars that you can click on.

afaik, user rating was removed because it was broken, not pointless.

we're not removing stars.

Anonymous or non anonymous ratings per poster ,with degradation of status (new status titles ) would be worth while for crappy posters.
