Get rid of the star ratings.

Keep the forum simple... we don't want star ratings as you can see from this thread. I just noticed that we know have a calendar up top next to My Forums... why? Disable all this stuff we don't need.



The only thing we can see is that 18 members don't like it.

no one's pet feature ... but we're working on sorting out many other forum / layout / useability issues right now with the FT 3.0 upgrade that we're going to wait and see what happens with all that before changing what features we have turned on ...

If I want the last page of the thread, there is no double arrow like there was in the past. Now I have to click through many pages to hit the end.

Threads are made to die with time and be archived. Most are ramblings, but of the technical content, I'll let the search engine decide whether or not a thread is relavent to what I'm looking for.

I don't need a popularity rating to tell me the validity of the content. It might only be good for joke threads, posted chain-emails, and the google video of the week.

If this forum were full of only mature people, they could stay, but it seems like our immature members get off on giving 0 and 1 star ratings to good threads.

I agree as they blatently show the oppinion's of the most ignorant people AT has to offer. Lord forbid someone see a good thread but decide not to look at is because a few ignorant people give it a poor rating. I've seen this a lot, often very good thread get the worst ratings.

There should be a reason for the rating, if a topic deseves poor rating a reason for it should be recorded. Otherwise this rating system is completely pointless.
