You guys have amazing memories, I can't remember but a few.

Voodoo 3 2000

Some ATI card in 2006 I bought from Best Buy for $120 which I'm sure now was a horrible purchase.

My 9400m laptop in 2008.

9800 GT

470 SLI

7950 CF.

It's weird, I've been PC gaming since AOL made you pay per hour, but I honestly couldn't tell you what I was using for my system with any semblance of certainty.

Correction: I can tell you what CPU I had, but I can't tell you want graphics card... Weird

I dunno, all I can tell you is I wasn't impressed with the upgrade when I got home :|

I think it had 512MB of vram, and the card I was replacing had 256MB.

Weird I can remember that...

Oh man, I can't even remember some of the cards I bought in the past, but I'll give it a go:

(Order of purchase)

3DFX Voodoo2
3DFX Voodoo 3 3000
3DFX Voodoo 5 5500
Hercules Geforce 2 Ultra <--- Hell of a card at the time
ATI 9700 Pro <--- modded to 9800 I believe
ATI X850XT
Nvidia Geforce 6800 Ultra <--- Got this for EQ2
Nvidia Geforce 8800GT <-- Got this for Crysis
Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS 320MB
ATI 4870
ATI 4870 Crossfire <--- Terrible support
Nvidia GTX470 <--- best value I've ever had, watercooled and went to 580 performance
AMD 6950
Nvidia GTX 680
AMD 7970
Nvidia GTX760 Hawk

There have been many more cards, but these were in my main rig.

Geforce FX5200

Geforce GTX460 1GB

I feel I'm not getting paid adequately.

Monster 3d that I think was some sort of voodoo 1
Voodoo 3 2000
Geforce 4 420 mx
Radeon 9800 pro
Geforce 6800gt
Geforce 7900gt
Geforce 9800gt
Geforce gtx 460
Geforce gtx 770

I had enough issues with my 9800 pro and hear enough about the flakiness of AMD drivers still that it'd take something like a return of the 5000FX series blunder for me to switch.

It's not weird. It's called enthusiast!

Actually I think that was the problem, I wasn't that interested in graphics cards until I started building my first from scratch rig in 2010, that lead me to the cheap $50 9800 GT with a Regor 245 followed by an endless upgraded cpus until I finally landed on the water cooled rig of 2011, the i5-2500k and 470 SLI.

Now I've gone backwards to on air, next cycle I'll probably only get one card

I always loved the Voodoo box art. I remember setting the box right next to my monitor while playing games. I was pretty young during the reign of 3DFX, but my parents spoiled me with computer parts because they thought computers were a smart thing to be excited about.

Sell dem's 7950's and get a 780 Ti when it comes out. You'll have to shell out some cash but I bet you'll be pleased.

How the heck do you keep track of all the video cards from the past like you guys have?

I have a hard time remembering the cards before my ATI 9800 pro, but here is a rough idea, though I know I'm missing a few:
Riva TNT 2
Geforce 2 or 3
ATI 9800 Pro
Geforce 6800 GS
Geforce 9800 GT
AMD 5870
AMD 6950
Geforce 470
Geforce 680

There are some definite holes in my list.
