If it can scale to 700 mhz without a volt mod and has decent rated memory modules on it, it will be a killer buy. I agree. My X1900XT@750/872 compares very nicely to my 7800GTs@550/1300, so unless the 7900GTs clock higher than that without voltmods, than I don't see them as being any better than an XTX, unless you play Quake4 or Chronicles of Riddick excusively.
