I ordered the sticker for my sister who's a vegetarian. Thanks Kiyup!

Why is this such a big deal? It's not like peta ever did anything to any of you directly, but they have made some animals lives a hell of a lot better.

Now if you don't care about animals, fine but why advertise that fact to people who want a free sticker?

Out of curiosity, doesn't anybody care about all of the rodents, and "pest" animals that are killed by farming machinery when harvesting all of the veggies and crap that PETA fanatics drool over.... IMHO i think a rodent should matter to us just as much as a cow should... FACE IT, HOWEVER WE GET OUR FOOD, SHORT OF GROWING IT IN OUR OWN BACKYARDS AND HAND-PICKING IT, WE WILL END UP KILLING "INNOCENT" ANIMALS... On that note, I'm going to go turn on the grill and fire up a hefty T-bone and enjoy my primal instinct to use the incisor teeth that my bald-a$$ed ape ancestors thankfully managed to evolve for me, just for situations like this....
mmmm... steak... damn this innocent cow is delicious....
<gee i wonder how many ppl i just offended...>

Face it, unless you are the "Ted Nugent" of vegetarianism, and GROW EVERYTHING YOU PERSONALLY EAT, you have no right to tell people that eating meat is bad, or morally wrong.... When you can convince a shark to stop eating innocent fish, and start eating sea plants, because it is morally wrong to kill those fish, then you can convince me that it is not in my best interests to eat meat. Personally, im way too damn lazy in this "modern" age to spend my life making sure that what i eat didn't harm another living thing... Not to mention that just because something is living, doesn't mean that is has a conscience... For all you know, that broccoli that you love could have more feelings than that cow somebody just slaughtered...

"IF IT'S CUTE, DON'T KILL IT!!!"

If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat. Oh wait, I'm sure most PETA automotons do not believe in God. Oh well.

But seriously, if PETA were true to its original goals, it might be a worthwhile cause. The problem is that PETA, like most liberal organizations, have been taken over by extremists. If the organization's leadership condones terrorism, the organization is a terrorist organization, regardless of whether some of its goals are noble. So, I'm a PAPETA, which is a Person Against PETA, but I'm not a person against the ethical treatment of animals.

PETA has lost all credibility with the public because of their outlandish comparisons of animal treatment and Nazis, among others. "Got beer?" Please!

Looks like they don't understand PETA. To PETA, animals are equal to humans, so there is no difference between killing 100 cows or 100 humans. That is how twisted their organization has become.

Truly sick man. For this horrific insult against the Jewish people, the PETA organization should be scorned out of existance by every person who has a soul.

from the article:
...the idea for the public relations effort came from the late Nobel Prize-winning author Isaac Bashevis Singer, who, she said, wrote: "In relation to them [animals], all people are Nazis; for them it is an eternal Treblinka"

He won the nobel prize in 1978 for literature and was jewish.

I agree. I will kick you ass if I see you mistreat your dog, but if I see BBQing a tasty slice of meat, you better have an extra plate.

Noooo, you've only got it close to correct.... Peta wants to protect cute furry animals, not all animals. Kill those flies and grasshoppers and such before they get to the corn and wheat.

Thanks for the sticker... I'll ponder using it to help wrap up the turkey I plan to shoot in 4 weeks and 1 day. (then again, thank god for grocery stores... I suck at hunting turkeys). But, if I order the sticker, is Peta going to use that as a statistic that I support their cause? Part of their message is good, but they're too extreme of a group for me.

As far as animal rights, Southpark had it best last season (the episode where they saved the baby calves from becoming veal but deciding that it was okay to eat beef)

Don't mind me, I just need to add another post to my total.

While I'm here and we're talking about meat eaters, I've got a joke:

What did one cannibal say to the other after eating a clown?
ehem "...did that taste funny to you?" (insert rim-shot here)

The American Indian word "vegatarian" means "poor hunter."

I've seen a lot of fat vegetarians. Is that healthy?

Check your anthropology. Millions of years ago, there was a split in our ancestors. One side were meat eaters, which eventually evolved into homo sapiens sapiens (which most of us are). The other side was the Australopithecus line (Afarensis and Africanus). They were the vegetarians. Over thousands of years, my line's brain and body grew bigger and bigger. Not so for the vegetarians. linky

I guess that explains a lot, doesn't it.

Thanks for the hot deal. I will also get some of these stickers to tape freezer paper-wrapped beef.

Anything to help put these terrorists out of business.

This is absolutely true! A recent study (out of Oregon State University I believe) found that more animal "souls" are liberated by plant agriculture than by raising animals for food.

These PETA idiots are against using even mice in the search for cures and vaccines. These bastards have said that they would rather a mice live than save the lives of people. What sort of losers put the value of an animal before that of our children, family, friends, and any human being for that matter.

I say if these morons don't want us to use animals to experiment on, then we should experiment on them. Here lets shoot them with a disease, then give them the experimental cure and see if they live. If they don't oh well at least we didn't kill an innocent animal.
