Still waiting, fucked mine up. I did it through H&Rs website and apparently they let you not check a couple boxes on the education benefits part(convicted felon question and are you still attending a four uni question) and let it go through even after the error check. Those two boxes were enough to hold it up.
So now I am waiting for a letter for the IRS so I can check two boxes, fax it back and wait another three weeks.
Had it done by a tax guy my family's been seeing for decades (I remember running around in the waiting room outside his office when I was in grade school). Totally hassle free.
Took about two weeks, and we just got our federal rebate yesterday. Not sure when the state's coming in, probably later this week.
I try to keep it close to zero as possible, but things happen, wife decided mid year to go part time to spend more time with the kids. I adjusted in August, but still ended up with about $2k return Fed+State
Haven't even filed yet. Getting a few hundred back which I consider great guesstimation on our part seeing as how my husband is self-employed part-time and can never predict how much or how little he is going to make.
Took a week to get my federal refund from time of filing. Had to pay in about a hundred between both state filings, that'll be deducted in the next week or two.
I filed on January 30th, opening day. By mid February the IRS sent me a chuck of spidey's MONEY. I figure in any given year I live off of spidey for at least three weeks. Thanks spidey! See ya next year.
Computer filed mine. Took about an afternoon. Effing stock trading took the post time thanks to average cost base bullshit (I sell the exact same quantity of units I bought per transaction).
