Getting a 780 ti and 4k monitor

I never said windows had perfect scaling....Comment when you have a 4k monitor otherwise your points are invalid.

so too lazy to go and see what downsampling is then.

I dont have any scaling issues btw. And I came from a samsung syncmaster SA550 to the 590D. Huge improvement in every way. I hope I never game in 1080p again its terrible compared to 4k. I hit lvl 90 in wow last night in 4k! The flickering was just a driver issue I fixed.

and here you are saying that you magically dont have any scaling issues which of course is BS. just goes to show that you are oblivious to things and only see what you want to see.

I don't have any issues. It could be better but there are no issues. If I had 2 4k monitors instead of 4k 1080p I would like it just as it is.

downsampling is the same thing as running higher resolution. when I use 2560x1440 it looks better than 1080 and performs just like 2560x1440 does. and then 3200x1800 looks even better and cleans up the edges even more. going back to 1080 does look slightly more blurry and has more jaggies but its not a massive difference that blows me away.

It does not look the same. I tried it on a 24 inch monitor a while back. If there wasn't a difference nobody would buy higher resolution displays.

Skyrim @ 4k is amazing along with all the high res textures and mods I've done. Not a bit of lag! But I seem to get lag with youtube in 4k. Does anyone know why? Fully buffered video.

It's really not the same, it's down to pixel density. Even though a game might be internally rendered higher, it still has to be displayed at the same pixel density. Higher resolutions with smaller pixels give a much sharper image, even I was surprised at how sharp it was when I saw it for myself.

All downsampling does is give a higher quality AA which is great, but not the same.

Are you using Firefox with Flash or Chrome/IE with HTML 5?

Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration in case the video card can't quite handle 4k video?

I have a 290x. Yes I have tried using Chrome Canary and regular Chrome. With HTML5? Is that a special version? I didnt know Chrome didnt use HTML5.
