I think it's memory. Corsiar is iffy 2x512 let alone 2x1024.

Run http://www.memtest86.com/ a couple times though, if it's failing, try bumping the voltage up to 2.8. If that fails buy the memory you should have bought in the first place Crucial 16T. Bar none the best 1024 sticks around. can run 3-2-2 1T all the way up to 250 mhz.

Why does everybody still say you have to slipstream SP2? The media for XP w/SP2 has been available for some time now, and whatever version (home/pro) you currently have, the key will work for it... I don't think there is any reason at all to stay with SP1, to be honest. If you know how to configure the security panel and othe little annoyances right away, it just works and works better with less updates to DL right away, all those little hotfixes disappear from your add remove programs list!

Good luck with the DFI, Jose definitely sounds like he knows what he is doing! I had a a lot of trouble with the NF3U epox boards, really destroyed my respect for them that I got from their great cheap NF2 boards. My DFI 754 board has been my all time favorite so far, closely followed by my ABIT NF7-S

I got my new set of 2x1gb memory today and I am getting the exact same errors.. So basically its down to software, cpu or motherboard. I personally doubt its the cpu or psu.. But then again, what do I know.. :|

I didn't read the whole thread, but if you haven't tried these already then consider doing so:

1. more cpu voltage
2. more meory voltage
3. try a single hard drive, not the raided raptors
4. Try running with a fan blowing into the case to cool it down. (try this one first).

Just make sure you Fold for team 734

I definitely suspect the mobo. I think that the DFI is a better bet - it seems to be very popular in my neck o' the woods and has a rabid on-line following. Can't believe you're doing this in Norway.

Hey, if your system's too hot, why don't you just put it outside? It must be pinin' for the fjords....

Well, at least in the winter....

I havent increased the CPU voltage, as I figured that wasnt necessary when I am running it (and everything else) at stock speed. I did try to increase the RAM timings, and also reduce the cpu multiplier to 10X for a while. Tried increasing the RAM voltage to 2.8 and 2.9 with no apparent effect. Also tried running the puter with the case open and a large fan blowing directly into the puter. (Which seemed to lower my cpu temp with about 3 degrees at most.)

Havent tried running only one HD yet, and I havent tried putting it outside. (We have about 20 minutes of summer here a year and thats right now, in a few weeks my heat problems will be long gone. )

Edit: Increased the ram timings, not lowered them.

I ask you this because two guys e-mailed me having stability problems...after several tests with their systems it was the memory from Corsair...One of them have different modules and he bought them as TWINX, the other one have two identical modules but one of them didn't work properly. I suggested them to RMA them. They did that, got new modules and the stability issues disappeared.
It seems Corsair does not check properly the Ram modules it sells as matched pairs or TWINX.
Huge dissappointment!!
You'd better RMA your modules!!
Good luck!!

All of my Corsair TWINX has worked perfectly. I'm running a set of TWINX2048-3200C2 right now.
