Off a loading dock is the best way, followed by a very good ramp.
Be careful whatever you do. Most motorcycles will positively kick your ass trying to manhandle them into a truck.

I used 2 2x8 or 2x12 to get an FZ6 up into the bed of a Nissan Titan (one for me to walk up, one for the bike.) Worked well, I pushed it up and had 2 spotters pushing from the ground. There are plenty of videos on Youtube of people riding them up with hilarious results (for us, not them.)

Ramps work well or you could just get a few guys and pick it up and put it in the back. That is how I've always done it.

2x12s or 2x8s work just fine. If you can, back up to a bank or a hill so you don't have as much of an angle. If you have the money, go to your local dealership and pick up a really nice motorcycle ramp.

Don't try to ride it up, and don't use the throttle. Really, that's just asking for disaster.

I've done that with a 250cc dirt bike, but I wouldn't try it with anything bigger.

You might have gotten serious responses sooner in the Garage section I just picked up mine this way, so you are in luck. Make sure you measure first and know that it will fit!

Find any hump around town that's around 3' tall, and that you can drive a truck up to. I used the burm created by some train tracks on one end, and a dip in my lawn on the other. I also borrowed a pair of metal tire ramps to boost up the front wheels, thus lowering the rear end even more.

Take 3 ratchet style tie-downs. One runs from each side of the front handlebars to the front corners of the truck bed. Tighten these down such that you crank the suspension down. Run the third across the back seat (if there is one, otherwise part of the frame) to the rear corners of the bed, for added stability.

Profit.

Ramps work just fine. You can get them from a hardware store. Don't use wood boards if there's any rain. Also make sure your ramps are long enough (or the end is high enough) that you won't high-center your bike on the edge of the tailgate. I speak from experience. I have a really hard time with my bike since it's lowered. Won't have any kind of a problem with a dirt bike.

I've done all three of these at some point, although with the third we were usually on a farm that had big enough ditches where the truck could easily drive in and out.

Hehe. We did that with a riding mower into my pops pickup, lol. Three guys lifting and pushing, put it in gear and gave it the beans! Luckily his wheel wells stick out into the bed of the truck and as soon as it hit those it stopped, or it would have busted the back window of the truck.

Loading dock is the safest way to do it. It should be pretty easy to find one.

When we load something into our truck, we usually back up to a small wall that we have next to our lawn and take the item into the lawn and into the truck. Or we do it from our deck.

basically what i did, but with only one 2X6. i had one guy on either side and one in the bed of the truck to pull it up. only thing i would do differently now, buy a damn ramp. all those close calls werent really worth it, considering ramps arent that expensive nowadays. in a pinch a couple times, ive two manned it without a ramp by liftring the front tire in, balancing it to get to the back side and lifting it all the way in. this was a 550lb street bike, not an ATV or something little either. was made much easier by parking the truck on an uphill against a sidewalk curb, lowering the back end about a foot from where the bike rested.
