# Cooling: Up to 2 120mm Fans
- 1 rear (standard) 25mm thick
- 1 front (optional) 25mm thick
# Fan Specs:
- RPM 2000
- CFM 79.06
- dB(A) 29.8. With Fan Only connectors 20.4

since the fans are decent enough to leave at stock, i'll leave them at stock

however, i need something to cool my CPU/GPU to make up for the loss of the side fan and small case size

GPU (pci-coolers)

1.) http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-888-602&depa=1
28 dba and only 10.5 cfm

2.) http://store.yahoo.com/directron/ws8slfs.html
25 dba and 32cfm (i'm guessing this will cool my gpu better and quieter than #1)

3.) http://www.xoxide.com/slotcooler.html
wtf? no specs?

CPU

will pci coolers work with the cpu and if so how will it work

also, what is the cheapest cooling solution for my AMD 64 3200+ (winchester 939), or is it not needed at all if i overclock mildly (200 fsb to 220)

thanks a lot.

I dont think you need a slot cooler. They are noisy IMO. The Sonata has respectable cooling and in your case you will be ok to oc mildly. The stock HSF for your Winnie (if retail ver) is relatively quiet and will oc to your specs just fine.

what graphics card do you have anyway? unless you have a 6800 ultra for example, you do not need a pci cooler. for the cpu, just buy either a thermalright 120 or a zalman 7700 heatsink.

i'm using leadtek 6600gt pci-e

btw, can i stick with stock cooling for the cpu or no?

and i think i need a pci cooler for my gpu because i pm'd a person on this forum and he has these temps:

idle/load
CPU - 32/52
Case - 28/38
VC - 56/66 (approx, since he doesn't have a way to keep track of this)

i wouldnt worry about heat issue. i have a sonata myself, and it's a very cool efficient case.

really???

what are the specs of your system in your sonata and do you use a cpu cooler? gpu cooler? do you use stock fan? what things did you not keep stock?

ty

edit: is your rig using the sonata the one in your sig? i think you don't have to worry about heat issue because you're not using a lot of stuff that generates heat unlike the person with the temperatures posted above (he uses an amd 64, a 6800[i think ultra or gt], and some other stuff)

i have a prescott, i know mine generates more heat than yours . i replaced the cpu heatsink with a zalman 7000cu and replaced the 2 120mm fans with slower spinning yate loons. here's a pic.

hehe

would i need a cpu cooler like your zalman and how much effect do the yate loons have over the stock antec fans?

also, would a gpu cooler be necessary if i have a 6600gt

Stock cooling on A64s is actually quite good. You shouldn't need to replace that or your GPU cooling unless you need something quieter than what is offered stock. I honestly don't know why you're so worried about the cooling...

meh i ono, i worry a lot i guess

anyways, so there's no need for cooling for my setup?

and the psu is fine - right? 380watts, 24A@12V, however it's 20pin and i'll be plugging it into my 24pin msi k8n neo4 platinum mobo
