Getting an iPhone via my employer.. iPhone 6s vs 6 Plus.

I was told that I could get any of the 6 or 6s devices and I really want a 6s plus but I'd have to wait over a month for that and I just don't feel like waiting that long.

I like bigger screens so that leaves me with the 6 plus or the newer 6s.

Will the performance difference between these be that much more noticeable?

DO NOT GET THE 6 PLUS. It's underpowered and short on RAM. DO NOT GET THE 6 EITHER. Again, the 6 is short on RAM.

The only reasonable options for 2015 are the 6s or the 6s Plus.

The S model has almost always been head and shoulders better than the first-run model. That '6' is gonna seem pretty old in a year or two from now.

Patience isn't my strong suit... lol.

Just went out and looked at both models side by side and the screen size itself isn't THAT much different. The 6s is physically larger all around in both terms of screen size and the surrounding area which kinda gives the illusion of a bigger screen. I'll probably just get the 6s.

I'd get the plus simply because of OIS, but that's just me. Is work paying for it or any of it out of pocket?

You will not regret getting the 6s. You might very well regret the 6 before 2 full years is up.

The 6s Plus is huge in comparison to the 6s IMO.

Where are you located? I regularly see 6s plus being available to reserve for in store purchase at my local Apple stores (SF bay area). Just need to check at 8 AM when they open the reservations.

Given how slow most employers are to upgrade work phones, definitely get the 6S. You won't regret it.

If you don't wear skinny jeans, wait for the 6s plus, OIS alone is worth the wait. Trust meeeee...... And the shipping/deliver times for Apple stuff is typically exaggerated a bit...

Honestly I doubt you'd miss the bigger screen on the 6s+, but your only real options are the 6s and 6s+. The refresh this year was big enough to where the 6 and 6+ already look obsolete compared to the 6s and 6s+. They are so limited by their 1GB RAM and slower CPU that the 5s (two years old now) feels just as fast. The 6+ in particular is RAM limited.

I like big screen phones, but between a 6+ and a 6s, I would take the 6s every time.
