Getting back into shape - any suggestions?

Yes, it's once again the time of year where I feel I should somehow be bettering myself. So, being an hour away by car from my university gym (have up till September paid up in full too, argh), I've decided to get back into shape at home.

Resources:
- Benchpress/weight bench
- Unlimited time
- Willing to work through any amount of pain

Objective:
- To build my arms, shoulders and chest in as little time as possible - going for mass here, as I'm presently underweight.

So basically I'm looking for any advice about what exercises I should be doing or what websites I should check out for info. By the way, I'm twenty in case that has any effect on what I should be doing.

And hey, if it all pays off I'll even post before and after pics. Thanks in advance.

Get on the juice it will pump you up quick if you eat well and workout hard.

if you're already big, forget the creatine. just work out, we all know how to do it, it's just a matter of getting to the gym

Go to the bookstore and get a book. Learn proper form, and you wont have to endure pain.

The bad news is that if you want big biceps and shoulders, they are two of the ssmaller muscles on your body, it takes a lot of time to really build them. If you want big triceps thats easier they are much larger than biceps.

Work out hard and short. You cant, in weighlifting terms, workout long and hard. Then rest and eat, alot of both. Any energy you expend outside of lifting will eat into your gains. This will also make you a muscular guy that cant run the 40 yard dash. But the goal is getting the biggest the fastest.

As for the workout, use "compound exercises" that work multiple muscles during a single lift. Squats are king , but watch the form, bad form equals more pain that you stand for a long time. Aside from squats, cleans, rows, bench, and perhaps military presses for your shoulders.

use a pyramid method. pick the excercise you will do with the weights. do your first set with the most weight that you can do 10 reps with, add weight and do max wieght for 8 reps, than add mroe weight and do 6 reps. this is a good way to build stregth.
