Funny story, the same thing happened to a friend of mine at a baskin robbins. He didn't say anything then he ordered a huge order for himself and his girlfriend. When the clerk rang it up, he said....eh...i changed my mind and walked out. LOL
that's awesome, I gotta remember that

Why? The clerk won't give a shit, he'll just void the sale and toss anything that's been prepared, if anything has been prepared.

Corporate will never know.

His manager, if one is there, will only see a deadbeat customer who ordered and ran.

So, what exactly is awesome about it? Who are you getting back at, and how?

I couldn't give a flying fuck if you don't think the Starbucks incident happened. These three incidents happened in a relative rapid succession in the last two months which made me call it out more quickly than ever. Prior to that I don't get cut more than the average Joe. So why don't you take a big step back and literally fuck your own face

Actually, you do give a flying fuck; you probably spent an hour trying to come up with this reply.

Did your daughters help form these sentances for you?

From the other side of the counter, I've seen customers rudely cut in front of other customers. Sometimes, I correct their error. Other times, it works out better for the customer who waited. When I get to the person who didn't want to raise a scene by correcting the rude idiot, I point out to that person, "I saw him/her cut in front of you. That's okay though, those slices of pizza I served him/her were old and shitty. You're getting slices from the fresh pizza right out of the oven. I tossed in an extra slice for you for having to put up with that rude person."

There were all sorts of appropriate passive aggressive ways to deal with rude customers - older pizza, smaller slices, extra ice/less drink, etc.

What a limited imagination you have. Many other scenarios are possible...

Hey, do you work in a pizza joint?

The WORST is when you are driving and there is a construction zone that reduces it down to one lane. You have the people who are already in the open lane jump over to the lane that is closing so they can speed ahead another 20 cars and then cut back in.

Makes me want to rage hard. It makes me happy when tractor trailers split the lane to prevent people from doing this.

Yeah, I hate that too.

Reminds me of a story from college. I was driving our team back from a tournament in Maryland (from Boston) in a big 15 passenger van. I got to one of the toll booths along the way and there is a huge line for the one cash lane. Anyway, I'm just sitting there waiting my turn when I see in the side mirror this car come barreling down the SpeedPass lane (to my left) with her blinker on. Before I know it, she jammed the front of her car in front of my van. There wasn't a ton of room, so I was surprised she sneaked her way in there.

I was pretty pissed about it, because the line was ~10 minutes long and everyone else had waited their turn. I laid into her with my horn for a solid 40 seconds until she backed her car out from in front of my van, at which point I drove past her and gave her the Dikembe Mutombo No No Finger. In hindsight, I'm pretty sure she thought she was going to get murdered. Also in hindsight she maybe just didn't realize that the other lane was a SpeedPass lane. Oh well.

When I lived in the city, this happened often and I used to get pissed but would never say anything. I always felt like a pushover, but I didn't want to deal with a big scene, which if it got to out of hand could mean security or police, meaning even more time spent. I get just as pissed when someone cuts me off in a car or steals a parking spot. No one has any patience anymore.

Once I moved out of the city it seems people are more polite. I rarely get cut in line now.
