my 60" ST30 was only pulling ~325W straight from the wall.

Also a note the ST30 series DOES NOT include wireless built in. You have to buy an adapter. Unless they changed it thats how mine is.

the two I picked up yesterday have a wireless adapter included. it isn't built in, but definitely included in the box.

Mine had November build dates

You can get a 73" DLP for cheaper than those LCDs!

:sneaky:

IMO keep what you have or buy the cheapest stand that will work and save for one later. really nice stands are worth it but expensive

Eh, you don't need to pay a lot for a decent stand. Mine was only ~$190 for a 65" TV and it works great. My only complaint is that it needs more rubbery stand-offs for the middle shelf. You can get more if you talk to Techcraft, but it really should come with them by default. Of course, my problem was that I have the center channel speaker right there, which weighs a lot more than most AV components.

what center do you have that weighs more then an AVR? i know they exist i'm just curious

my next stand will be a synergy triple - which will prob cost me ~1500 but it will be a lifelong purchase so IMO its worth it

I looked at the exact same synergy setup. do yourself a favor and look into a standout design unit. the quality is VASTLY superior for about the same money. made in the USA, full solid wood, includes temp sensitive exhaust fans, vented shelves, removable center channel drawer, hidden caster feet. Watch for their sales, they usually do 100 bucks off and free shipping.

I have the Majestic Grand in Espresso/Maple.

not the best shot of mine, but it is one of the best quality pieces of furniture I own.
(in case you are wondering that is a pioneer 600M, ISF unlocked and calibrated by Chad B)

I bought my Salamander Synergy Triple in late 2008, and still love it! Would HIGHLY recommend it. I'm also considering the display mount, but quite honestly, I'm not in too much of a rush to get it. I'm actually pretty happy with the TV sitting right on top of the stand.

Hmm odd. i feel ripped off! (not really) Wonder if/when they changed that. I have mine hardwired so not a big deal but those dang dongles are just annoying to have to buy separately. Glad they finally started including it though!

Hi folks. I ended up buying the 55" ST30 off of Amazon. The TV showed up yesterday and I am in love. MW3 and Skyrim are amazing. This weekend, we are off to buy a Bluray player and a TV stand!

The next big purchase would be the sound system........yikes. New beast to tackle!

I haven't actually tested/checked it, but I thought it weighed more or at least very comparable. Ultimately, it would cause the most stress even if it weighs less because it's in the middle and my AVR is on the right.
