I have never tried to work that way.... it doesn't seem manageable to me. Could you do a screenshot?

Have you ever heard of anyone opening up so much info with a batch file like this?

Where did you read this? Link? Note, Dataram marketing materials don't count, I want to see real use cases.

A database is about the worst use case for a RAMdisk because even the smallest inconsistency in one of its data files can cause the entire database to be unusable.

Yeah, I think it was on the Dataram site that it said this. I can look around to see if anyone has done it successfully.

RAMDisk creates a virtual RAM drive, or block of memory, which your computer treats as if it were a disk drive. By storing files and programs into memory, you can speed up internet load times and disk-to-disk activities, accelerate databases and reduce compile times. Save and load features allow RAMDisk to appear as persistent storage, even through reboots.

Thanks for the screenshots.. you can't get previews of images though? If I had to do that it could be an alternative but I don't know if that would be better than the SSD route....

If the RAMdisk doesn't work it's an alternative.

If there are few enough windows (ten or so) you get a series of thumbnails running across the bottom of the screen. You may also be able to force layering of thumbnails (or be able to use a wider screen).
