Getting rid of a Timeshare for my grandparent

I won't go into great details as to not bore anyone to death.

Cliffs.

1. My grandmother owns a timeshare...recently she had a stroke and I was made POA medical / financial
2. I didn't know about this whole timeshare deal and now they contacted my uncle I am guessing for payment of some sort.
3. My grandmother is probably heading for assisted living which will more than likely consume 85-100% of her income.
4. She owns her home (but has a loan of probably half of what it is worth left on it for some unknown reason).
5. Her other bills are nominal for the most part.

As for #4 and the loan, I have no idea how she got a loan at some point in the past I am guessing one of my other family members talked her into it and that is about as good as it gets on figuring it out as the two I suspect of having something to do on it are both deceased.

I am guessing I am not going to be able to get rid of this thing easily, but I figured I would reach out online for any advice.

Long term i am hoping to sell the house and all the remaining possessions to get out from being in charge of all of it.

Do you know the brand of the time share? Some are much easier than others.

Check out tugbbs.com for good information. It's a very active timeshare user group.

For specific ways to dump it, depending on if it still has a lien or not, you can use a specialized timeshare reseller. Seth Nock: http://www.sellingtimeshares.net/ and Judi K: http://judikoz.com/ are two popular timeshare resellers with good reputations on the Tug forums.

I don't have any of that info at the moment, just found out about this via text from my uncle...I will find out what I can this week.
