If you are staying in Midtown, I really love Zocalo's Sat/Sunday all-you-can-eat buffet brunch (casual also). I've eaten there alone and taken girls there and they seem to like it too. Wasn't that impressed with their dinner offerings though. They have the buffet open until 2 PM, which gives you time to work up a good appetite. Plus you can go for a nice walk in Piedmont Park afterwards to burn it off, its right across the street. There is a botanical garden in the park but I've never checked it out if that's your thing. Most people would recommend the Flying Biscuit but that place is always so crowded and while I remember it being good, I didn't think it was extraordinary.
We've had really good luck at the Wyndham in Midtown, service has been excellent, and its a fairly classy place, but not too pricey. Even got a couple of guys from there to help me unload a UHaul into my apartment right down the street (Descarts and I live across the street from each other). Nothing unique about it though like the other places posted, but it is very close to the MARTA station, Piedmont Park, Georgia Tech, and other midtown attractions. Free internet, and I got free beer (Corona) and cookies (join their priority club, its free).
