GF works ONE job, gets 8 hours sleep a night and is whining "I'm sooo tired!"

vi_edit..that make sense...but I'm a college kid, I have no body clock. I worked at UPS and had to get up at 5 for awhile and I just didn't go to bed...I'd go out all night and come back work till 7 and then went to bed after that and got up at like 5. I was pretty jackedup...and it sucked cuase all my friends could go home and go to bed.

Another thing is that she may have a vitamin deficiency condition.

It often help me to concentrate & give me energy when I take multi vitamin school days (end of semesters) & sometime at work when I put 30-50 hours in 2-3 days.

Dude, just because you work 10 billion hours doesnt mean other people cant be tired after an 8 hour day. I dont think theres any medical condition going on, your standards are just too high. She is getting the right amount of sleep. You ARENT. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

I sleep 8 hours a day, work 8 hours a day, pretty much average, but getting up every day is a new struggle. I am just not a morning person.

I wish I could survive off of 4 hours of sleep a day and be all happy happy, but any less than 8 and I'm a zombie. My body automatically shuts down at 12pm nowadays, I wish it was just easier booting up at 7:30.

Actually, she does suffer from depression, (although it's not been definitely CLINICALLY diagnosed as such) has been on meds (Wellbutrin)for it (she stopped taking it months ago...) and sees a counselor once a week. Some folks here (Baf/Azraele and a few others) know this already.

It runs in her family. Her mom is a complete psycho, and her mom sleeps FOR 16-24 hours straight. I'm not kidding or lying about that either. Her mom is an RN and works nights. She sleeps during the day (that's why I call her "Vampira" ) She has foil on the windows of her bedroom, thick, light reducing curtains on the windows AND a blanket thrown over the curtain rod for good measure. If sun touches her skin, she bursts into flames.....Hehehe, I love saying that.

There's a lot of things wrong...I guess I just needed to rant....and to get a new GF..... Thanks guys and gals.

BD2003...amen dude...8 hours of sleep is NORMAL...you aren't supposed to be able to function normally after 4 hours of sleep unless you've grown accustomed to not sleeping. People that sleep 9 hours a day don't have a medical condition, or a problem, they're jsut gettin enough sleep. Some people like sleeping and gettin up late...you have no idea how many times I've heard "but you're wasting half the day" I'm not wasting half the day becuase my day is from 1pm - 3am...I'm still awake for the same amount of hours, get as much done, and go out at night. I guess its not from 1-3 anymore because of my job...its from 8-2 now. I don't bug them about goin to bed at 11 and 12, I'm not makin noise, so they shoudlnt' bug me about not waking up until 1 on the weekends

I find it difficult to comprehend why the girl would be despressed considering the loving, supportive, honest and faithful boyfriend she has.

You give the impression that you are constantly settling for second best when it comes to your girlfriend, perhaps you should also consider the fact that she is getting second best. She could be with someone who really likes her, if only she knew what you really thought, then again she could decide that its all good and she is happy with the way things are.
If she knew and had a choice that is.

You seem like a nice guy but man your honesty skills seem somewhat lacking.

btw if she is on the pill or depo there is a chance either could be causing or contributing to her depression, aside from that some people just need more sleep than others.

Dammit, I must be a complete waste of a person. Please, never make friends with me cause I'll be a bad influence on you. I work 8 hours a day, five days a week. I usualy sleep about 6-7 hours a night. I'm often tired turing the day, especially when that number gets closer to (or below) 6. On weeknds, I sleep in. I wont get up till 10:00 or 11:00. I'm a horrible horrible human being.

I'm willing to bet that all of you that are defending the "sleep 'til whenever and i"ll get up when I damn please!" are all under 30 years old...nah, let's say 25 years old. Trust me; as you get to your late 20's you won't be so spiffy and peppy anymore. Pass 30 and getting up early on your day off doesn't seem like such a bad idea, b/c you're exhausted by midnight.

No offense taken at all. She is fat. She KNOWS she is fat. She is 57 pounds heavier than when I met her. That is directly out of her own mouth, from her last doctor's visit. They compared her current weight to her records from three years ago. Mooooo. She is still pretty, but she was F_I_N_E when I met her. I was honestly knocked off my feet....I miss those feelings.

Before anyone asks, I am exactly 11 pounds heavier than when she met me. Yes, I have a small spare tire. Yes, it is Body By Budweiser. But that's it. She went from a size 9-10 to a 16-18. I'm not pleased. Is that superficial? Yes, it is. It's my choice to be that way.

It would only take TWO months for her to lose all that weight. All women are exactly alike in this regard. You get dumped and the very first thing you do is lose all that weight, get a diff hairstyle, start wearing makeup again, etc. You do this so when we see you out at the nightclub, you can walk by shaking your NOW tight little booty and we can realize "what we lost." Am I good or what?
