GF2 MX - Heat sink ( Ocing )

( sorry for the english, I am not speeking very good )

I have a GF2 MX from Hercules.

I just buy a Blue Orb ( I want to do some OC ) but I need to remove the heat sink.

I heard a lot of stories about how to remove it but I also heard that it is very dangerous.

Can you help me with step by step ?

I donot have any guarrante on this video card, and it costs a lot of money.

IMO its not worth getting the heatsink off and overclocking the core since it doesn't improve performance much. The GF2 MX is memory bandwidth limited, and the best way to improve performance is to overclock the memory.

Since you already fot the Blorb - then just remove those black spacers or studs very carefully and twist off the HS. Quite easy actually. Be careful when squeezing the black studs at the backside of the card since you could damage the traces if you use a needle nose pliers. I use my thumb nails and squeeze them out.
