I got my Palit Daytona GF3 Ti200 to 240/530 when I got it.
Then I noticed Windows said that I only had 512Mb ram (I have 2x512 pc2100) and one of the ram modules had been unseated when I installed the gfx-card.
When I replaced the ram-module I was not able to oc the gfx-card to more than 200/450 (GF3 speed). When I set the core to more than 200Mhz and the ram (on the gfx card) to 500Mhz (or above) it freezes when running 3d.
Does anybody have any idea why this is so? I haven't tried without the second ram-module again since I haven't had much time for gaming recently and PhotoShop like the 1Gb ram. The cpu was oc'ed to same level before and after oc'ing the gfx-card and reinstalling the ram.

The overclocked GF3 card might eat up all available power and a little more, weak PSU perhaps?

Not a huge surprise. Probably overloading the Northbridge and the memory controller. This is a pretty common issue with multiple DIMMS populated or DIMM slots populated with higher capacity RAM. As you populate more DIMMs or you use larger modules in the DIMM slots, the memory controller has to work harder to synchronize the timings between the memory banks. Add in the fact you are trying to overclock and your memory controller really has its hands full. The Northbridge on most chipsets gets hot and is the most important feature on most motherboards for good reason; it controls and affects the performance of components in your system in very noticeable ways. The AGP controller is also in the northbridge, so it sounds like it can't handle the extra clock speed you are trying to run, or its getting too hot and locking up on you. Unless you really need that full gig of RAM, I'd either remove one or break it up (3 x 256MB as some boards have reported problems with 512MB sticks). You might also consider a better HSF on your northbridge and better case cooling.

I've thought about the psu too, I've got a 340watt Chieftec psu, this was the most powerfull psu I could get fast (in the same town as I live) when my old died. Do you think I would get much benefit from a 431W Enermax psu, both with oc'ing the gfx-card and general oc'ing. See my sig for more details about my system, the Baudros rig.
So the Northbridge can have trouble with several ram-modules and a oc'ed agp-card, I had feared this.
My mobo only has a heatsink on the Northbridge so it might get too hot, have a Blorb that I don't use, just need to lap it because it's not flat (when I put it on my card it didn't touch the gpu at all on the middle, that's why I don't use it). My case temp is 32C-34C, a little high I know, but I already have 2 80mm 46.5cfm fans pulling air into and out of the case and a slot-fan underneath the gfx-card, to get more air-flow I need to mod it, which I don't want at this point.
I really want that 1Gb of ram, I don't really need it, but it's nice that I can run many programs without using the swap-file much, plus PhotoShop loves much ram.

Somebody must have some suggestions.
I'll lap the Blorb tomorrow (or next week, I'm rather busy right now) and put it on the NorthBridge and see if it helps, I hope so, maybe it'll allow me to get the last bit out my cpu too.
