The thing is, Wheel of Fortune takes idioms and colloquialisms into account and frequently has puzzles where abbreviations or contractions are used. In this case, though, the puzzle clearly was "Seven Swans a-swimming" and not "seven swans a-swimmin'" which it could certainly have been.

I support the judges in this. People need to learn to speak properly when it's required of them.

The game is about words people. If you don't have a good grasp on pronouncing words the way they should be pronounced, maybe you should just go to the Price Is Right. People have left off S's on words and the judges have ruled against them in the past.

There was this one lady one time that pronounced the letter R as Argh-uh. Yes, two fucking syllables in the letter R. When asking for an R, she'd say, "Argh-uh." They gave her the R, but I would have said, "no, not only is there no argh-uh on the board, there is no fucking argh-uh in the English language."
