Ghost 7.5

Hello there,
I used Norton Ghost 7.5 to ghost an image of an AMD 2.8 GB to other AMD which has the same size / speed of this machine and OS = Windows XP SP2, It worked fine for the first few day, then it could not boot up because of some reasons I did not know, perhaps, Floppy and /or CD was left on the drives and I was too panic to think of virus and /or BIOS setting when I heard the boy cried ...
I changed the BIOS setting and ghost the image back to that machine, I did not know why this time, after Norton Ghost transfer completed, my machine only shows up Windows XP logo. I tried many time but it seemed my image was no good.
anyone has any suggestion to help me please tell

Perhaps, I did not make it clear and made you guys misunderstanding the situation.
I am sorry.

I have 2 AMD 2800+ machine. Originally, each of them has 80GB hard drive. Each time the machine was crashed, I lost everything in that box. Reload Windows and all software cost me at least a day, and it is very uncomfortable while transferring image from its machine to itself took me only an hour.

Recently, I took out 2-40GB hard drive from my older machine to add to those 2 AMD 2800+ machine. Since I have everything on the 80 GB of the AMD 2800+, I do not want to loose it, I just wanted to use Norton Ghost to transfer it [the OS and all application installed in the 80 GB] to the 40 GB; I just wanted to make the 40 GB become master then format the 80 GB to make it become slave to save data.

Basically, the 80 GB of each machine was ghost to 40 GB of the same box, for each box. The process of transferring OS through Norton Ghost only saves me the time to reload everything including OS of each setting each time problem occurred

I took an image of one machine, save it on the machine that has Norton Ghost then load it back to the other smaller hard drive of that machine. it worked fine for a few days then I format the 80 GB hard drive. After I format the 80GB hard drive, the boy who played on my machine accidentally left the CD and Floppy inside the drive, that incident made the machine could not boot, since the first and second boot setting from the BIOS were Floppy and CD. The boy screamed out loud that I dragged the machine and it was not working. I thought it was true, and I needed to ghost the image back to its machine on the 40 GB again, but this time I do not know why the machine did not work as it was before. It gave me Windows XP logo only.

What should I do now ?

If they have different Motherboards you will either 1 need to do a clean install on the new machine or 2 use sysprep on the first then Ghost the drive and image the new machine.

Either way your going to have Activation/WGA problems because this isn't ligit.
