Personally I dont like it. The graphics are just horrible, HORRIBLE, even at max settings on my X1900XT, I can barely look with all the jaggies.

I'll have to download the demo of the 360 version, AFAIK that looks really good.

You guys do understand that you can only select medium on the texture selection right? Ill take some pictures of the retail version and post em for a comparison.

The gameplay is EXCELLENT however the GFX in the demo arent as good as they could be considering the ammount of system resources it takes.

Sound btw is the bomb

In-game, AFAIK, it said "High".

It supports 4:3, 5:4 and 16:9 but it doesnt support any more resolutions above 1280x1024.

I havent tried any higher resolutions than that but you can change it in the config XML file within the GRAW folders.

Damnit... Every bloody game i try does this to me... My res can go up to 1680x 1050 as its a Dell 2005FPW.

Why dont bloody games tell me i can go higher! Urgh. This is annoying. Every game this happens to me *sniffle*

Huh? Im at 1920x1200. It supports the most resolutions of any demo I have ever seen.

Ok ive got a problem now.

It seems my screen freezes, like taking a screenshot, except that everything is still working, i can move the mouse and i can hear in my 5.1 things spinning around me, i can get into the menu and stuff like that its just that my screen has one image only and i cant fix it somehow and this was before i started fiddling around with the settings. I need help!!!

Tho i am using the Xtreme G 84.37 drivers... probably could be it... ill change to the .43 as its supposed to be even better for Oblivion, hopefully it can sort out my GRAW problem too.

Any other adive would be greatly appreciated tho.

Got a 7800GTX, 3800+ 64 AMD winchester 1Gb OCZ DDR400.

You can edit the renderer_settings file in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Demo\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Demo\Data\settings to enable high texture quality if you don't already have it as an option. Setting everything to max gives me a loss of about 4-8fps. Still no AA though.

That is false. Here is a shot of my settings and as you can see, the texture quality is set to high. I think you have to have 512MB vram to get high, at least thats whats floating around.

From the short time I played it, unfortunately, I must agree. The true Ghost Recon AW seems to be an "X360" only game- the PS2/XB versions of the game are crap, and apparently so is the PC version.

Ive been reading the GRAW official forums and the autodetection and the limiter for the graphics is totaly buggered because well as you know for some reason it wont actually let me use anything more than medium on texture and no more on 1280x1024 for my res when as i have said before i can run it with a bit of jitteryness.

Thats what everyone said about Oblivion on the PC and Xbox360 version, everyone was ranting that the 360 had better visuals, in the end it was found through reviews and comparisons they actually both looked pretty much the same.

I expect that to be the same as this one.

That's exactly what I have. And it still looks like crap.

No, I have to say the only people who could say the 360 version had better reviews were the console fanboys who just needed something to use against PC fans. In the end, the PC has slightly better visuals, and can have graphics a good deal better if you download some of the texture mods/make good INI changes.

Not sure if this will help or not but if you right click on your new Ageia icon in your sytem tray there is a update avaliable. May help performance a bit.

This demo version of the game totally bombs. The worst FPS demo of the year is my vote.
Huge disappointment, Ubisoft!

10,000 exploding barrels, flying bricks, and ragdoll effects out the ass aren't going to make this a good game.
