Ghost Recon

Ok I am about to go out and pruchase Ghost Recon the PC version. I will add it to all of the others that I have.
As with all of the others release by Tom C, I am sure that it will be a fun game.

For those who have already bought the game, what do you think of it?
How would you say it compares to Black Thorn, Rainbow Six and the others?

Its a great game, but totally different. You have a fixed number of men in your squad and no pre planning. The graphics are great and you can get prone for shooting at long last.

yeah i liked it, not as good as operation flashpoint though, and not as good as the r6 series. it's fun, and a very stable game. very very few bugs (cant think of any offhand). i havent played it online though. just single player. worth getting if you can get it under 40$ (it's gonna be a killer game for me to pay more than that).

the graphics kick ass, way better than most games out.

I've been playing ghost recon since the day it came out and it is the best to come out of the series yet. It by far has the best graphics and is by far the most realistic. If you even just like the Rainbow Six series, you'll love ghost recon

It's okay...nice gameplay and weaps, but I kinda like OFP better. If it didn't have such a crappy MP interface (ubi...bleh), i would like it more.

I really really liked this game. The Single player was amazing and seeing this thread made me want to go get some multiplayer action in.

I love it. Runs a bit slow on my computer but hey what can I do?

I really enjoy everything... the points system adds a lot to the game also.
I would recommend getting it.

Thanks everyone, looks like I am going to buy the game today and add it to the rest of my TC
collection. I guess some reading is to be done now, about changeing some of the game files
so that it does not hang up or bog down.....

 

I bought it but can't get into it. I have to get over my shoot everything mentality.

I LOVE ghost recon........its everything the rainbow series was, only 10 times better. The ingame control that you have over your teams is really awsome. The enemy ai is the best I have ever seen, the graphics kick ass, and the sound effects are awsome. Its an AWSOME game, definately worth the money.

They are completely different types of games. How can you compare the two??

Anyway, I LOVE Ghost Recon. I played Rogue Spear for a while and didn't much care for the missions, but I think Ghost Recon ROCKS. You can do the online gameplay without ubi.com. If you do a search on Google it will bring up some dedicated GR servers. It's a fun multiplayer if you're good at the game. Otherwise, you die quickly and just sit there and wait for the next round.

Just got the game at Circuit City for $35 (they also have Operation Flashpoint for $25).
Will try it after I am done eating. I hope I will like it.

The mission where you start on the edge of a farm and need to destroy a couple of tanks is way hard to complete the way you should. I tried that so many times, you need to hunker down ASAP just to get the mission going.

Love this game.

Wow. Ghost Recon is an amazing game. I played it for a few hours now and so far it is perfect. Quite different than Medal of Honor and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I like the more realistic touch.

I love the gameplay. Commanding the soldiers are much easier in Ghost Recon than in the previous Tom Clancy games.
