I've finished NV and enjoyed it as I did Fallout 3, if not more! Certainly a recommended game to everyone who enjoyed F3 or Oblivion. And NV is far more than "F3 with a style on it".

I did read it. It says that their solution is to make it so you can force ED-E out of your party.

FINALLY got a Legion ending. Took me long enough. I just forged straight ahead with the main quest and ignored everything else.

No one's mentioned new DLC yet?

Newest one in "The Big MT" is honestly the best one so far. Not done it yet, but the areas are interesting, enemies have some variety and they're a challenge, new objects are useful. The area to explore is also pretty huge and not just a wasteland. The last one with the native american concept is probably the worst one so far.

I can only assume this has been fixed, because I had no problem playing Honest Hearts. I finished it a couple days ago. ED-E was my first companion and I had recruited them all before even starting the DLC.

Yeah I always get ED-E as my first companion and I had no problems playing Honest Hearts. But I didn't get the game until June and I didn't play Honest Hearts until July so probably they fixed this in a patch after that article was written.

Also, the article doesn't say much about the nature of the bug. It implies that the reason you can't start Honest Hearts is because of difficulties with dismissing ED-E as a party member, but I think the only time you can't dismiss ED-E is when he's being upgraded at the end of his quest line. Which means all you'd have to do is wait a couple of in-game days until you can pick him up and then dismiss him.

This makes me even more glad I'm waiting for a while to buy it. Tons of bugs shows how much they really worked on it just like Fallout 3 and it's DLC when they came out. The screens show they didn't change much at all. Looks like Fallout 3 with a skin slopped on. Really sad to see they're just cashing in on the Fallout franchise now.

Heh it's amusing to read this comment 10 months later when you know how successful NV has been.
