I wonder if you were to collect the data from birthdate checks like that, how many people would be born on Jan. 1st.

Heh. Or the year 1992.

Too lazy to subtract, I just use any year below my real year. Ok, I just scroll as far down as the list will go with one flick of the wrist.

February 22, huh? Got a 1 week break from school (still gotta work), so yay.

Really love the game but man the micro stutter really kills it for me. Is there any fix for this at all? Makes me wanna get it on the 360 when i really don't

U guys do realize that we wouldn't even have new tweakguides if it wasn't for Nvidia right? Koroush didn't have the time or hosting resources anymore, and they came to him and offered to host his new shorter guides. Be grateful we get something at all now.

No one mentioned that Fallout Vegas: Dead Money finally came out on PC?

Just saw it on Steam, completley forgot.

I mentioned it in the other Steam thread. Forgot about this one.

Anybody get it?

Heard and am hearing it sucks, also the new patch introduces some bugs. I do know it killed some of my mods. I really wish steam wouldn't go to the newest patch when you re-install a game. If steam allowed patch choice I'd be amazed but it would probably never work for numerous reasons.

You can choose to not auto update for each game, BUT, you were right. If you install fresh its only the latest. Which sucks cuz Dawn of War plays better with the earlier versions, before they "rebalanced" shit.

I just finished it. I mostly enjoyed Dead Money. Firstly it is long. Almost like a mini-expansion. Took me 7-8 hours to complete. Secondly the new companions are somewhat interesting. Also I found it genuinely difficult which is a nice change after the main game which is too easy after about level 10. There's also multiple endings which completes with an overview of your actions and its outcome on your companions and the wider world (as in the ending of the main game)

Biggest con is the map (prior to the casino) which is just butt ugly and easy to get lost in. There's also too much backtracking for my liking.

I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10.

You can change the difficulty any time, you know. Very Hard is ridiculous no matter how well you play.

It raises the level cap by 5 levels, and I'm only about an hour in. It's not that good, they took away all my shit, and the enemies aren't "regulars". It feels like that steel mill expansion in Fallout 3.

I'm working through the game a second time and just discovered Vault 34. I'm going to glow in the dark!

Did they change the way stealing works with the new patches/dlc? I remember the first time I played the game I stole everything, and never got caught. This time I'm at Goodsprings store and stole some items while hidden, but the shopkeeper just comes over, calls me a thief, and takes the items back.

Very Hard isn't bad as long as take Guns and Repair. I'm playing a game right now as a melee/explosives character on Very Hard with a mod that makes it take twice the amount of XP to level. It actually forces you to explore everything, because you're constantly scrabbling for every last bit of XP and you remain below level 10 for most of the time before you reach New Vegas. Cazadors are a bitch though.

What I did when I got there was just to pick everything up and drag it to another room where nobody could see me. You can also use a bucket to carry all of the smaller items.

Alright, it seems that siding with the Legion cuts down on game time considerably. You cant go too far into the NCR quests without pissing of Caesar permanently, and many of the games side quests were NCR based. They were also much longer and deeper than the average Legion quest.
I only played for 6 hours and already I killed Mr House and wiped out Nellis Air Base. Only got 3 companions though, but I did get a brain for Rex. Turns out you can fight Lupus in the Arena and steal his brain without angering the Legion.

I've done a fair number of NCR quests without pissing off the Legion. I also like the Mr. Sandman perk, that allowed me to do the Legion quest in Camp Forlorn Hope where I had to kill all the officers without getting NCR hostility.
