What I did when I got there was just to pick everything up and drag it to another room where nobody could see me. You can also use a bucket to carry all of the smaller items.

I tried to keep my karma reasonably "Jesus-like" so did the exact same thing except only with big ticket items.

With my Messiah character, virtually no stealing, it's depressing to wipe out the entire store and just walk away.

I'm playing an evil character and my stupid karma keeps going up because of quests.

Yeah, I've found that good karma from quests easily cancels out huge amounts of stealing. I take everything that isn't nailed down, and my karma has never dropped.

What surprises me is that Mr. Sandman kills don't cause you to lose karma either. I went through Camp McCarran at night and killed a bunch of sleeping NCR soldiers. No karma drop.

Does Dead Money ever get good?
Cuz right now its an exercise in tediousness. I think they were trying to rip of Saw but realized they couldnt charge people 10 bucks for 2 hours of video game content. So they stretched it out with bull shit.

Beat Dead Money.
That was a giant can of fail sauce. Kinda like The Pitt. They think they are making things interesting by stripping your gear and adding all kinds of instant death junk, but really its just annoying. The Ghost people were especially irritating.
And I couldnt bring back Christine. She stayed no matter what. Bullcrap!

Hoping the other add-on is better. Honest Hearts I think it is.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you about dead money.

I found it enjoyable because of the tension of the Build-Up to the heist. Some parts were annoying I admit, and I played it on hardcore so It was even harder for me. The payoff to me felt so satisfying. And it was worth putting up with the nuisances from the ghost people and the fetch quests.

Locked Elijah in the vault and 'tied up loose ends.'

If you didn't like Dead Money you Probably won't like Honest Hearts.

P.S. 5 more days till Old World Blues is released. Cant fucking wait.

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUCCCCKCKKKKKKK!!!

Honest hearts doesnt work. Get into the cave, talk to everyone, go on the trip, Jed talks to me about the Burned Man, as soon as the game world comes back up it crashes. Was able to get one hard save in quickly and thats all.
At least Dead Money worked, even if it sucked.

And Steam doesnt do refunds, or at least not for DLC.

Bullcrap. I hate spending money I'll never get back.

EDIT: Its well known.

And I am in the middle of the Ed-E quest, which I almost never complete cuz it takes too long. I always get one of his hidden messages but you have to wait something like 7 days of game time to get him to access the 2nd one. I always get bored and dump him before that. You cant even take allies with you to Honest Hearts. I wonder if using the console command to complete the quest artificially will solve the bug. Or dumping the quest entirely?

Lucky me, worked like a charm. Not enough people to kill though... Had the same complaint in Vegas.

OK, it would seem Sneak and Explosives are fucking godly.
Just wacked the fiend Vault 3 and all of Caesars camp each with one click of the Detonator.
Also helps that you can make your own C-4 packs.
Mines are good too, to pick up the stragglers.

Invade Caesars camp and whack everybody. That should keep you busy.

Month late but... Already did. Cleared the desert to the southeast, "liberated" Vegas, cleared all the vaults out, wiped out the camp, etc. Think my complaint is the lack of respawns... Random encounters would be cool. Stalker "kind" of did it right. Although, their respawn rate was as a bit too quick.

Oh,and MASSIVE new patch released yesterday. Think it's partly in preparation for the new DLC. I think either this month or next month's DLC will be a continuation of the storyline rather than just a new random area.

Dunno why this game is rated so high.. I hated it (there I said it)

Its not for everybody, but we've been saying that since Morrowind and yet nobody listens to us.

On a side note, just for fun I started up a new F3 game and been having fun.
Gimping myself with weak weapon skills and maxing everything else. Also installed the Base 72 mod. Gives me a nice house and item sorters which were sorely lacking. Made a beeline straight for the Citadel and got power armor training right away. Now I will roam. Also good about getting that far in the story is theres plenty more random Enclave encounters so running around is a little more exciting.

Been using only a dart gun and explosives. I cripple legs, then sneak in and lay mines where they are hobbling around. Lots o' fun!

MODS.

(there I said it)

Fallout NV must be the only bethesda game that I actually enjoy without mods.

Well, part of it is, is that they're still rolling out patches and dlc that will potentially break mods. So, I'll just wait until they finish all that to start modding.

So, been playin NV for a bit and absolutely love it!

It's awesome in the sense that I live pretty much 1.5 hours at most from all of these places so it's literally like playin in my back yard! It's freaking awesome how close the saloon in the game looks like the one that's really in Goodsprings.

Nipton is really a shit hole and doesn't really have any buildings there at all.

Anyway, worth the $20 or so I paid for it during the steam sale and shorty your commentary has been quite amusing haha.

Is the game worth playing the first time through without mods or should I just go ahead and load'em up?

Yeah they got a lot of things right in New Vegas so I dont think you really NEED mods much.
Eventually you will want to add some. First I recommend you get the fallout mod manager and use that for everything you add on.
I have a couple that add recipes to the work benches. Nice to make stealth boys and stealth suits on your own.

Final day of the steam sale shows FO NV for 14.99 and 2 DLCs for $2.99 a piece. Totally worth it IMO.

I just made my way into Vegas, killed Benny, and talked to Yes Man. I have also started the weird Cannibal Quest Line in Ultra Luxe. Any suggestions as to when I should attempt the DLC's? Oh and I believe I'm level 15.

If you have picked up ED-E and started the quest ED-E my love, you cant do the Utah DLC. It crashes instantly when you get to the region.
I recommend avoiding Dead Money until you have really strong unarmed and melee skills, and perks to make them more useful. Ammo is short when you start.

Well shit I guess I'll have to start over!

I not only have ED-E, but I also have Boone and Gun/Energy Weapon Skills with maybe 15 points in sneak/melee.

Damn you shorty why couldn't you have told me this sooner? LOL
